About This File

Seattle Washington using special elevation data that is much more accurate than other data. Almost 3 gigs of elevation data was used to generate this one small map.

Wow, it looks really really good. I can tell by looking at the jpg that a lot of time has gone into this.

The data I used is only for the Seattle area, so can't do Philly. It could be much much realistic than how it shows up in SC4. In the raw data, you can even see where the ground has been graded for freeways and roads. Hopefully SC5 will allow more detailed terrain data.

Good to see Forkboy making maps again. Yours are some of the more realistic maps. Are you thinking of doing another Vancouver map.

Odd, it appears as mostly land, with a small bit of water. Nothing like the screenshot indicates.

not bad, but does the map cut off at the top there? if it does then you are missing the top half of seattle, this map is of downtown seattle and tacoma

Nice Looking map of Seattle, is that Mercer Island in the middle Lake Washington. Now all you need are floating bridges like S.R. 520 and I-90.

you download it by right clicking the grayscale map and saving it to your newly created folder (Seattle for example) in the regions folder. then you go back (alt. button and left arrow) and right click the colored screen next to the map display and saving it to the same folder.

I installed this map yesterday. Loved it except for how the cities was layed out, so I grabbed another config file from http://www.ussdragonstar.com/simcity4/terrainsite/configs.html that suited my taste better, now it's purrrfekt. Thanks! Lovely work.

Just downloaded this and I'm having the same issue as other people. This is my first downloaded map, so I might be doing something wrong, but I'm hoping somebody somewhere can provide a solution to this. I'd really like to build this map up.
