About This File

This lot pack contains a number of utility lots for facilities belonging to SimCity Rail (SCR) designed to enhance the look of your SimCity rail networks whilst providing relaistic game components and some bonus extras.

The lots in this pack are:

1. BSC_Railyard_CarParking - a 2x2 network enabled lot with carparks and billboards.

2. BSC_Railyard_CarParking_1x1Filler - a 1x1 filler caprpark lot to go between the network enabled 2x2 lots.

3. BSC_Railyard_GoodsPlatform - a 2x2 network enabled lot with a goods loading ramp and storage shed.

4. BSC_Railyard_SignalBox - a 2x2 network enabled lot with signal box and workers houses.

5. BSC_Railyard_StockPlatform - a 2x3 network enabled lot with a stock loading ramp and stock pens.

6. BSC_Railyard_WaterTower - a 2x2 network enabled lot with water tower and workers hut.

7. BSC_Railyard_WorkersHut - a 2x2 network enabled lot with workers huts and maintenance shed.

All of these lots use features, such as prop families and props with time of day attributes, so that they will appear differently each time a lot is plopped (e.g. trees, shrubs, rubbish) and as the day rolls on (e.g. trucks and people appear and disappear at different times of the day). This means you can plop many of them and each will look slightly different.

Also, with assistance from Daeley, I've created some custom LUA code that enhances the behaviour of the querys. After you plop a lot click on the query a few times. You might be surprised at what randomly occurs.

Please see the readme for full details, including dependencies and installation instructions.

These lots have been developed and tested by the members of the BSC. Thanks to the team for all their assistance with these lots.

This is good to see - SC's trackside has been pretty devoid of detail 'til now.

very nice...although the goods platform looks a little short..they wouldn't want to shift the whole train each time they want to load a different boxcar...I'm really eager to get the signal box in my city though, I have been ever since I saw it on the king X lot :D

Addax... good catch, you're right! The theme of the pack was small utility lots you could put all over your rail network, so some are not as realistic as they should be.

Folks, I encourage to to plop these in your cities and have a play with them before voting/commenting. There's more "under the hood" of these lots than there is in eye candy. Look at the lot queries, HINT, HINT.

This is now exactly what happenes in the BSC Team ... many props are done for specific lots and Deadwoods did a fine job of giving the props more mileage. Good job and than you for your attention to detail.

raven5ca, have a look in the readme (it's a html file so should open in your browser). There's a dependency of BSC Railyard Props Vol1 which can be downloaded from the STEX. It was used for Kings Cross.
