  1. Elks Building

Very nice. Always happy to see more W2W commercial buildings
  2. SM2 Small Roundabout Bus Stop

Behind the shelter in the middle of a roundabout A pretty nurse is selling poppies from a tray
  3. Green Plaza Modular Set

Nice addition to your Plaza park set which I use alot.
  4. RLM Productions - LA River Project

Nice. Looks like the real thing. Not right for my region though.
  5. Love's Truckstop

Nice idea and BAT, but the truck parking really needs re-lotting. 99% of trucks back in to spaces - if you nose dive, you can't see what's going on behind you from the cab when you're backing out. Also there needs to be more parking (average truckstop about 60-80 spaces) and more room in between the rows of parking - you need about 60ft at least (the length of a trailer plus 7 feet). Have a look on Googlemaps. Not nitpicking (honestly), but i'm sat writing this in the sleeper of my semi truck - i spend lots of time in truckstops (why I redownloaded SC4 when i'm away from home) As a rule, Love's have the smallest truck parking area (about 50 spaces), PFJ is in the middle and can vary by location, and TA/Petro have the largest lots (and the nastiest coffee!) Extra star on this one for the Love's shop, which is quite realistic!

  7. MP Crest Theater

very nice - a nice addition to your growing collection of lots would be another version of this building in use as a bingo hall, as many old theatres are
  8. Shell GasStation v1

Nice work, but the sign needs rotating 90 degrees so it's parallel with the road and perhaps the shell logo reducing a little? 8/10
  9. Worst buildings in your home town

I just found this one and I thought it deserved a mention. Swan House in Newcastle.
  10. Worst buildings in your home town

Micah, it's a real housing estate. The picture was taken from a developers website, whom I can only assume wanted to change the sky (badly imo) to make the houses look more attractive
  11. Arena Nacional

A bit too asian looking for the city I'm building, but a nice addition to the STEX
  12. Worst buildings in your home town

Here's a few that I can immediately think of: 1) Northampton Bus Station, UK 2) I kind of like it because of it's role in (the original 1969) Get Carter, but I'm sure a lot of people will hate it. Plus with this shot, you get the equally 'glorious' Indoor Market in front. The Gateshead carpark: 3) Westgate House in Newcastle. Look at the surrounding style of architecture and they slap this up..: 4) Probably the worst of the lot. Found everywhere in the UK in identikit form. The Wimpey/Barratt house. Homogenised boxes with plasterboard walls, plastic windows and absolutely no character. From Aberstwyth to Aberdeen, this mishmash of quasi-individualist features (you can have a red roof or a black one basically) not only turns the development to a hotchpotch wart on the landscape, development of such houses (I refrain from calling them, as developers insist on doing, homes) all over the country; that new house you buy is exactly the same as how many others in the country? 10? 50? 500? What does that say about the owner? Also, with the houses being crammed together so tight - basically a path wide enough for a wheelie-bin between the houses, and a sandpit sized garden, privacy is minimal. All houses take a period of time to 'bed in' to the environment, but one feels by the time these have; it'll be time to knock them down and start all over again. But hey, this keeps the homebuilders in business right? This first one is entitled swallowsnest and the second is called berry hill. Two things I can guarantee you won't see in the developments.
  13. What if lots are constructed in a different way aking? You obviously weren't here at the start of simtropolis/sc4. Things on the modding/lot creating front were decidedly primitave and what may now seem as fairly standard mods were seen as major breakthroughs with a bunch of dedicated folk scratching their brains over the coding of the game - and everyone else being eternally grateful.
  14. Plopable Farm Field Pack

I like the idea although i don't relish the idea of adding another 112 items to (presumably) my park menu..
  15. mipro BSP Borders Books and Music

Looks really useful for lowrise downtown areas. (and no, i'm not going to go "woohoo first comment")
