This is a set of 3 duplexes inspired by homes in Palisades Park, New Jersey. The area is affluent, diverse, and densely populated, owing its success to its favorable location on the leafy palisades about 10 minutes from Manhattan, NYC. As a result, many older homes have been demolished to make way for new, more expensive structures. These duplexes (sometimes 4plexes) replace a single family home set on a 50' lot. If they look big compared to other homes in the area, they are! Much the same way that brownstones looked huge and austere to many when they began to replace wooden structures in the 1800s, some residents in the area feel that larger and more dense housing changes the character of the neighborhood. Grow some and find out!
