About This File

UPDATE: Improved texture on No-Trucks lot (see second photo). Your existing lots will continue to work normally after updating, and will display the new texture.

--

Modification of UrbanLegend's HOV, No-Trucks, and Road Closed lots, with UL's permission. If you use UrbanLegend's versions, remove them from your plugins folder before installing these. These lots should be placed in your MyDocuments/SC4/Plugins folder.

This pack contains eight transit-enabled plops. They are:

* NO-TRUCKS: Trucks may not pass. Ave, 1way, road, street versions.

* HOV Lanes: Buses and pedestrians only may pass. Road, 1-way.

* Road Closed: Only pedestrians may pass.

I have made the following changes to UrbanLegend's original lots:

* Grouped all lots in logical order at bottom of Misc Transit menu.

* Internationalised "No Trucks" to remove English text.

* Removed bus-stop properties so Sims do not queue up at them.

* Lots are no longer subject to transit strikes.

* Lots can no longer catch fire.

* Eliminated landmark effect and pollution reduction.

Street versions are $5/tile to plop, other versions are $10/tile. Maintentance fees are same as a normal network tile. I removed the pollution and landmark effects, because these lots limit traffic, making the streets more desirable as an effect of their use as part of normal gameplay.

I am not much of an artist; if someone wants to improve the icons and textures I appreciate any help offered.

This is an awesome mod but I have one question. Are civic vehicles (ambulances, garbage trucks, etc.) allowed to access the HOV/Bus Lane? Cheers!

I can't get it to work. i first placed the road and then plopped it on the road, yet traffic still goes through just as before. and the road block I could not get going either. Is t here a thread on this somehwere I can discuss what I am doing wrong?

Disregard my previous comment, it works well. I noticed that at first there were cars which would go through the hov, but when queried they were not showing. Over some time they stopped entering the road all together. Thanks much for a great mod.

great work!! but the textures for the 1 way road HOV look werid. the sidewalk is a different colour, the road surface is also different and the dashed lines don't line up

Realise this is a dated thread, but...
Do these lanes allow emergency vehicles? Fire engines/police. If not, does anybody know an option for restricting roads/streets to only those vehicles?
