it really depends for me... I'm going to wait on this decision until i see more about the game. but probably ill buy it mainly because i hate EA. (They ruined BF2, SC4[kinda] and Westwood Studios)

I also agree that this is about to go from bad to worse. However i respect the monks and hope that a mass bloodshed will not happen.

yeah the problem i was having was that i would try to get my GLR off of the avenue strip by the end of the region where i had a toll booth. apparently it didn't like the toll both that much

I am also having a crash with this mod. But for me its with the GLR in the avenues. I am using the June 2007 version of NAM with SC4eluxe and all patched. (not NAM if there are any) PC Specs: AMD Athlon X2 6000+ 2GB Ram nVidia 7900GS

Heres a little fun fact. Did you know that if you were to line up everyone in china in a single file line, and started a head count from the beginning, That the head count would never end due to the rate of reproduction? Also nowadays scientist are almost at a breakthrough with solar technology which would allow solar panels to capture the entire spectrum of the Suns Light waves. Also Energy companies are investing in HUGE wind farms in the ocean by the cost since there is almost a constant breeze.

from my experience, the nVidia Quadro series isn't meant for gaming. those are mainly meant for video rendering/compiling/etc. I would suggest you pick up like a 8600GT or GTS (8800 is overkill) or if you dont care about DX10 then all the 7 series cards are pretty cheap nowadays. I haven't used ATi so i cant say much about their cards but if they are cheaper you could probably pick something up too.

What grinds my gears about SC4? Constant nagging from advisors Lack of Region to Region trading fluidity The Fact that we need a Mod to get our sims to drive Like a normal person would (NAM) 115 people living in a 2 story house. and the complete abandonment by Maxis/EA (not really surprised though.. its EA. what else do you expect?)

i would like to see: 1. Better traffic path finding and the ability to choose bus/train routes and their time tables 2. Linux Compatible version (Big plus) 3. Ability to say what kind of traffic can go down certain roads and HOV lanes 4. Agree with the Billboards 5. Get rid of the advisers or make them shut up every once in a while (unless for a tutorial or a city on easy) 6. Realistic Home accommodations (no more 75people living in a mid size home) 7. Weather and the ability for Natural Disasters 8. Better sounds for things like Sirens, helicopters, etc 9. Better graphics that don't look cartoony (*cough* SCS *cough*) 10. More zones and the ability to add-on to structures instead of having to add an entire new one. 11. Easy B.A.T tool that doesn't have dependencies (gmax for the current one) 12. Have regions be the size of a state or much larger than they are currently 13. Correct scale for everything 14. Seamless integration and trading between regions 15. Real Money budget (i.e. millions+Billions of dollars instead of thousands and single denominations) --may edit later--

i like the Bohemian Street Jam/The morning Commute in SC4 but yeah, SC3KU had some of the best music.

im trying to think of the best way to explain this. basically my industry lots use to look like res., and com. lots with a border and arrows that were adjacent to roads defining the space a building would take up. Now they just look like Agricultural zones except smaller with just open area.
