Sorry, should have added a reply not edited the old post previously... No problems at all Doc. Thanks for your input. I've been meaning to reinstall my Win7 anyway as it's my 'first test run install' that I've done all my mucking around on. I'll probably do that this week time allowing. I'll try these tools again on a clean install of Win7 just to be sure. From what i gather form the MS forums the error is related to the .NET framework. I've had a couple of issues with other unrelated .NET programs so it's quite possible I've hosed something up. Will try a fresh install and get back to you with any further results. Cheers.

Hi guys, last ditch attempt to try and get SC4O and DIC working. OS is Windows 7 64bit. Reportviewer is installed. .NET3.5.1 Installed SC4O and DIC to default location with admin privleges and UAC disabled. I selected the box to create the database. No issues there, instalation was apparently sucsesful. I run both programs with admin privs and have tried both XP and Vista compatability modes. When I try to run either program I get the following MS error: SC4 Organiser has stopped working... Description: Stopped working Problem signature: Problem Event Name: CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01: depseek.exe Problem Signature 02: 2.0.2.0 Problem Signature 03: 4a62dedf Problem Signature 04: DEPSeek Problem Signature 05: 2.0.2.0 Problem Signature 06: 4a62dedf Problem Signature 07: 42 Problem Signature 08: c6 Problem Signature 09: System.InvalidOperationException OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 and for DIC a very similar message. DIC has stopped working: Description: Stopped working Problem signature: Problem Event Name: CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01: dl catalogue.exe Problem Signature 02: 1.6.3.0 Problem Signature 03: 4b4e37d2 Problem Signature 04: DL Catalogue Problem Signature 05: 1.6.3.0 Problem Signature 06: 4b4e37d2 Problem Signature 07: 3a Problem Signature 08: c6 Problem Signature 09: System.InvalidOperationException OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 I have looked in MyDocuments for the file SC4Stuff and it is not there. I have also looked at the registry entries mentioned on page 2 of this post and I only have 3 entries for (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\eu-contractor\DEPSeek\Defaults) (Default), Compressed Folder Name, Database. eu-contractor/sc4_organiser.mdb The error log's from the SC4 Stuff folder I of course don't have as the folder does not exist. Also the install error log you mention on page one does not appear to be in the eu_Contractor file. Any ideas? Thanks for any help. EDIT: Hi DJ, thanks for your assitance. I've seen other screen shots of the test tool with far more information and buttons on it... also not working properly for me it appears? The test tool log is attached but it's pretty sparse on information. SC4O error, this error appears as soon as I attempt to run the program. I have not been able to get into the program so I'm yet to be able to get to the sc4o preferences. One thing I've noticed from my research is that other people appear to get configuration options on install of sc40 and dic, is this correct? I did not get any config options on install other then to create the database. It appears that even though everything says it's installed correctly it doesn't actually do so. As I mentioned earlier the /MyDocuments/SC4Stuff file is not created on instalation. sc4test_mrgrey1_201005.txt

Well my last map seemed to be appreciated and there was a request from Animaniacs for a map based on Luffy's Flag ... I have no idea who Luffy was but a quick google turned him up. I needed another project to practise my GIMP greyscales on and I wanted a map that was going to be nice and geometric. I aslo wanted something to practise plopping all those wonderful Peg ocean lots on. Luffy seemed to be exactly what I needed so... here it is. Credit where credit is due, the original image was created by 'zerocustom1989' over on DeviantArt. -

Hi, I have installed DAMN then NAM and the NAM update onto a clean updated install of SC4D. Started a new map, covered it in trees, went to select the 'zone' view so as to hide the trees and make the terrain/grid visible and the trees no longer dissapear. Experimented a bit and discovered that most props and building footprints no longer dissapear when the 'zone view' is selected. Not being able to see the grid for the zone layout is a deal breaker for me and I'm hoping this issue is known about or fixable. Thanks for any help. Found the solution, this is actually intentional: http://simpeg.com/forum/index.php?topic=7789.0 "The modified 'Zone' view is an optional component of NAM that came about as a result of changes made to the 'Subway' view that eliminates buildings when selecting subway stations to make it easier to place or delete stations in heavily built up areas. The modified 'Zone' view is optional and can be 'turned off' by removing the NetworkAddonMod_Zone_Data_View.dat file from the NAM folder or by not installing it (by not selecting the Zone Data View option in the setup list). This will return the original 'Zone' view."

HI, have installed as shown in the readme, I'm having a problem with the DAMN root menu. When I try to go to the root menu i get a list that reads something like; DAMenu.getLinkText(0,1) DAMenu.getLinkText(0,2) etc... I have repeated the installation a number of times now to make sure I've done it correctly but I'm still getting this list of 'links' instead of the root menu.. any ideas where I might have gone wrong? EDIT: Full reinstall fixed the problem. Thx.
