About This File

---Tubular pole set (HD) (v 1.0)---

---------------------------------------

Models and lot files are created by Buzzit.

---------------------------------------

This package contains the following files:

1x Orthogonal piece

1x Diagonal piece

1x Corner piece left

1x Corner piece right

1x Start/ending piece

No dependencies required!

---------------------------------------

Installation:

Just put the set in your plugins folder and your done!

---------------------------------------

Whats new?

with newer/custom buildings.

- The pieces are created with a new reference. I used 3 meter humans instead of 4. Making them slightly less big then my older sets.

---------------------------------------

Known issues

- none so far! yay!

---------------------------------------

This set contains 6 150kV tubular poles. These models are based on real-life models seen in The Netherlands.

The Start ending piece is functioning like a powerplant generating 1500MV. Enough to power industrial areas and small cities.

The pieces have a little description to explain its use in the powergrid.

The pylons aren't slope friendly and should only be used on flat ground.

Feel free to use the pylons for your own powerlots under the condition

that you give me credit for the pylons themselves.

If you have any issues place the issue on the forums of SC4D or Simtropolis and i will try to solve them ASAP.

Have fun!

Buzzit

Welcome back, Buzzit.  It's good to see you're BATting again.  Monopoles are becoming popular now, so it's good to have some available.  These look quite nice.

thank you  these look great and good idea to make the end/start piece a power source

also they look similar to some pylons I have seen in California

They actually transmit power?

Kinda.
I made the start/ending piece behave like a powerplant. So the line it self doesnt transmit power. but since the ending piece acts like a powerplant the area you want to power will receive energy. (The ending piece does not generate any form of pollution though.)

I like this mod, but the power lines are a little to light for me. During the day, I could barely see them, and not at all at night. I would recommend darkening the lines. Otherwise that, I like it.

Awesome! They are super detailed! It's also very cool because we have that kind of pylons in France :) Will you add the straight variations like Lamba insulator, V insulators, Anchor insulators someday? :D

A little question I have is I understand they are not slope friendly but why couldn't there be ploppable tilted wire sections and matching poles with corresponding ploppable power pole segements be created at different slope angles (for example 15,30,45 degree tilted wire upslope so that you could create a piece by piece segement up the hill and the lots where the actual power poles are located are still flat. If you don't understand what I am talking about i might be able to whip up a drawing.

I see how this is a .rar file and so it needs a file management program like 7-Zip to extract it. Then have the files copied to your Plugins folder and it should appear in the game's menu (check in Power or Parks).

Hope this works for you, and welcome to Simtropolis. *:)
