About This File

Anyone seen those maps people have made with grayscale images they made in photoshop or downloaded off the internet thinking they were cool?  You ever noticed how you would have to go over the entire map to smooth out all the edges because they didn't even bother to try and play the map?  You hate it when you load a map up and the land and water are at exactly the water level so that you have vast amounts of water you can see through and a ton of land you can't build on?  Or how about those maps that have completely flat ground in the open spaces?  I hate all these things too.

So I bring you another map that was made specifically for playing.

I made this map by hand in SC4Terraformer.  I have noticed a great deal of maps uploaded just aren't playable, sure they look pretty but they just aren't playable.  Not enough attention was paid to them, too sad really.  THIS map was made with playing in mind, never mind it looking realistic or being a place we can relate to.  This map is made to be played.  You can dig no less than 15 meters with hole digging lots all over the map, anywhere, it has mountains, hills, plains, rivers, lakes, and a coast line with a bay and a few islands here and there.  The waters are just shallow enough to build coastal development kit custom content but also deep enough to allow boat passage anywhere and everywhere.  There is a mixture of steep and beach coastline and the beaches are not so long that you can't build anything on them.  The flat ground, the plains, is not really flat anywhere, I made sure to erode the terrain enough so that the ground is not completely flat, it is flat enough that building a railroad with a slope mod installed might not even alter the terrain(in places) but if you build farms over fast amounts of  flat land you will notice the land actually rolls.  I even included some smaller city tiles surrounding a large tile so that you can naturally, with an unmodded game, unlock rewards that are centered around building neighbor connections to many maps.  So this map is great for vanilla games and heavily modded games.
