Ok, hello there. This lot is a no-monthly-cost, aesthetic lot to mark where your city wants to install subway stations. This can be used if you lack the funds to build a proper subway system, but want to set out where the stations will be without incurring their costs, or if (like me) you like the aesthetic look of them. They technically function as stations, but cannot be used by the sims. They appear in the Misc. Transportation menu, and show up if you select the subway tool as a white square (meaning you can find them later but you don't mistake them for a functioning station.). To upgrade to a proper station simply demolish it and put in a station (looks better with the maxis one, but that's just my opinion). WARNING: This lot counts as transit enabled, so will crash the game if you touch it with a puzzle piece. (But that means you can drag a subway line through it without it blocking the subway and making it a dead end.) WARNING 2: Since it is technically a station, if you place it on the tile next to an existing subway line, the line will distort to accept it. If you do this you will need to demolish the line first and then plop the aesthetic station, before re-dragging the line. But this is no different to a maxis subway station.
This lot has a rather high (but low-radius) landmark and park effect, as these people want to live by a subway station and have foresight, so buy a property next to a to-be station. This also means: aesthetic construction on the station activates real construction around it!
Enjoy, and one last thing: The digger is an overhanging prop to give it space, so it will look more realistic than the retained maxis or other custom lots from other authors. In the versions you may see a number (e;g: 1.0) followed by something called the STEX Version. That refers to the description and screenshots, not the actual lot, so don't redownload!
