This is the first map I've created. This is Crater Lake (no, not the place in Oregon). Hundreds of thousands of years ago, a meteor struck the ground, creating a deep crater. In modern times, the crater has turned into a lake, fed by two winding rivers coming from the northwest. To the southwest lie an intimidating chain of mountains with a plateau beyond them, waiting for enterprising pioneers to settle and reach the mineral wealth that lies there. The two rivers twist and turn, leaving a central island that is well suited to a trading city dealing in raw materials from the west and finished goods from the east. To the northeast lie fertile plains, perfect for planting large plantations. To the southeast is Crater Lake itself, with an abundance of freshwater and level ground around it. The land around Crater Lake is perfect for a booming metropolis. I hope you all enjoy playing this map as much as I have! Feedback is always welcome.
