Cool. Does it replace the in-game station or is it an additional station?

Hmm... no stellar ratings so far. You see, stuff like this has been done [i]a lot[/i] in 2003/2004, before BATs rose to rule the STEX.

Now some people will come and tell that the Lot Editor just won't cut it and that you need to make BATs, but that's not true. You can achieve a lot with the LE, it just depends on what you use.

Taking an old Maxis building and changing its lot ever so slightly is indeed nothing new that will become a hit, though.

I suggest you go hunting for a building that might work well as a train station, or for a train station that sits on a really lackluster lot. Then use some prop and/or texture packs (not [i]too [/i]many) to create a good-looking train station that hasn't been seen in similar forms a zillion times before.

Take a look at [url="http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/19/capture28012011191106.jpg/"]this[/url], for example - it's 100% Lot Editor, 0% BAT. And I'd say it's pretty darn awesome! (Logan123 is the artist behind this lot, btw).

Btw, I spot an undocumented dependency; should be BSC Mega Textures Vol.01, but might also be Vol.02 or 03.

This is the original station with some little changings. So, yes is an additional station. I made this, first of all for myself. And is useful for those with old PC witch don't want to use too much plugins. From my opinion is better then the old one. And better then nothing.
Its my first lot uploaded in here. I know that what I did is not something new. And I know that is not the best one. But persons like me with some old computers witch do not want to use too much plugins is something great. I made it for my pleasure onely, but if are other persons who enjoy and like it that fine!
And thanks for all those who know to apreciate a small and humble work like mine!!!

Crysspm, I think it is just fine. Pablo Picasso said that you have to please yourself and if others like your work, well that is like an added benefit. You will get a lot of comments from appreciation to constructive criticism to destructive criticism. 25 people from all over the world have already downloaded your station. Your station is just what they want! So be proud of your work!!!

I just wanted something simple and very useful for myself and I created it. And Just wanted to share my work with all of you. Just because a lot of you guys would do the same, I'm sure of that!

Shakespeare said: "...to Thine own self be true." I have too many plugins too and I agree that the station provided by the game is in need of improvement. The game station is a nice little station with its own aesthetic charm. I have seen stations like this. I can't find anything wrong with any of the changes you made to it. A lot of people can't even use the Lot editor. And you did your work for free, offering it to anyone who could use it. Picasso put a set of bicycle handlebars on top of a bicycle seat and called it a bulls head. It is a work of art. Some people don't like it and say: "Hey, anyone could have done that." True, but Picasso did it. I will give you a rating of 10/10!!!

Pros and cons for this bat is pretty obvious. We all understand that people got to start somewhere, and this looks decent for a first attempt. I've seen truly horrifying ones uploaded before. It seems the 2003 released Simcity4 continues to gain new fans, and I am assuming the uploader is one of them, so hopefully you will soon bring us some stunning work.

I'm playing this game for long time, but in creating sc4 lots and modifying lot properties I'm new. Lets hope I will learn to do greater things then this one.

My plugin file gets pretty full and I have an expensive gaming computer. I like the LOTs because they are usually in the KB order of magnitude. Those fantastic complex BATs are really MB eaters. If you go to an art museum you will see things that approach the magnitude of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. But you will also see little watercolors, sketches, minimal art. I guess it is true that the word "great" implies a sense of magnitude in its very definition, so I mean no disrespect to those great BATers out there. But this is a game after all. I need people to put out LOTs. And other people do too and we can't all use those huge 2.1 MB ones. Please keep doing what you're doing because there are those of us out there who need the kinds of things you're doing. I see you're up to 35 downloads now.

So how do sims get out to that central platform? Seems a bit unsafe having sims cross the rails and all that. You get 2/5 since I could find at least ten copies of this lot already on the stex and this one does little to stand out from them.

This modified lot is a good idea.

I just modifited yesterday the Grand Railroud Station. I didn't done too much improvements to it, but I just wanted something similar with the original and be more practical and accessible. I tested it and to me it works just fine. It hase no requirements as the original one. And have 4(+1) railways lines witch works perfectly. So, for all those of you who wants it will be uploaded today.

No, I didn't. But I know now. And I just saw that I did something similar with that LOT, with a few differeces of course.

Well, I have this one in use as of yesterday. Again, thanks very much. It really doesn't need to be a BAT if you like the original art. BAT has one horrible learning curve, and kudos to those of us who have done it.
