About This File

Hey all!!

This is my first BAT. It is a ranch style stone house which is common around where I live. The lot features the house, a pool, and a fair amount of trees. (I noticed not many lots had trees which blended into my heavy use of trees in my cities). In my game the trees started small and grew over time. The growable version is a R$$ Lot which houses 14 sims. There is a ploppable version included but it is not functional. Since this is my first BAT I would greatly appreciate any tips and suggestions to help improve the quality of my future lots. Enjoy!!

I hope to keep future dependencies to a minimum but this uses textures from the following:

NDEX Base Teture set 1.dat

PEG_Base-Textures_Vol-1.dat

BSC MEGA Props

I imagine most people downloading BATS already have those. Thanks to those teams for providing such wonderful props!

Its good for a start :ohyes: , but the textureing needs alot of work, its tiling, You can open a BAT Thread Here and get people to help you improve your models, for your first upload I give you a 5/5 :thumb:

Another thing, please try to make your dependencies links to help people find them :)

Good start but could use some work on the textures and links to the dependencies. People really don't mind a lot of dependencies as long as they are linked.

Great start though! :golly:

The textures and lot are a bit plain, the lawn is two shades of grass, you could try to make those flush.

Thanks for the reviews guys! I started a thread as Frex_Ceafus suggested. In the future I will certainly link dependencies. The lot develops a little overtime. The trees don't start fully grown for some reason which I agree makes it very plain looking at the start. I will release a second version once ive figured out how to improve the textures =)

I agree with the others about the house being a good start, but needing texture improvements. Also, I would either reduce the size of the lot, or add some more props to it like trees and lawn stuff.

Good job! Maybe you could try making houses on a street like this?

@ Dependencies:
It looks like you are using outdated individual packages. Both texture packs you mention have long been superseded and consolidated into BSC Mega Textures Vol.01, which you can find on sc4devotion.com.

Your prop dependency is unclear. BSC is a large team, and many of its members have released a prop pack, sometimes even many packs. A pack called "BSC MEGA Props" does not exist. There are, however, BSC Mega Props SG (SimGoober), BSC Mega Props D66 (Dolphin66), BSC Mega Props CP (Cycledogg), BSC Mega Props SWI (SWI21), BSC Mega Props JES (jestarr) etc. etc. What puzzles me most is that I don't see any non-Maxis prop on the lot at all...

I recommend you look at the dependencies again and provide links. TIA!

I did not realize there were so many different BSC Prop Packs. Thanks for pointing that out T Wrecks. The one needed for this lot is BSC Mega Props SG - vol 01.dat.

It looks pretty decent except for the fact it dosen't blen into anything . Try to use more common textures that would fit with a certain build style
