About This File

The Air Defense Initiative, or ADI, Project is meant to bring an air force to SimCity. Rather than simply being modern aircraft, however, these will be fictional aircraft, or aircraft that may exist in the future. I realize not everyone wants these fictional aircraft, but they are what they are.

In this pack, there are four aircraft to start your air force. Each produces a small (<20 simoleans) monthly income, has minimal pollution effects, and consumes a little power and water. They can be found in the airport menu immediately after the Maxis Space Shuttle. Each aircraft has a brief description of what it is and does, as well as a custom icon.

To install simply unzip into your My Docs/SimCity4/Plugins folder.

The aircraft:

  •
  • AS-4 Striker. Inspired by the Sea Wing/Sky Wing from Red Alert 3.
  • B-102 Raven. Inspired by the F-117N (a rumored naval version of the F-117).
  • F-5 Ghost. A recreation of the X-302 from the Stargate franchise.
  • SR-3 Shadow. Inspired by the SR-90 from Supreme Commander.

I hope you enjoy these. Feedback is much appreciated. Thank you.

I agree, WOW! At some point my cities are going to evolve beyond the current times and get a more hi tech and sci-fi look. These are going to fit right in.
5/5.

Yes, these look cool, the Red Alert craft seemed instantly familiar. Fictional is cool too, 100 years in Sc4 goes quick. How about that aircraft from the game 'Terminal Velocity' or even 'Raptor'? Also cool. F117N looks sweet, thank you.

Ahh, i see you included the X-302 in the pack. (Is a fan) I have to ask though, did you model these yourself? Because the X-302 is pretty spot on, and it looks like a hard model to do.

Now, just add some decals to the aircraft, maybe even a paintjob, and I can see these sitting in more people's air force bases. :D

They look great. I would love it if you would submit these for the new SolarEmpire game coming later this fall. Sins of a Solar Empire is made by Ironclad games. I too design ships I will be submitting in the same fashion.

but... you can't fly them as air vehicles. Any way you can do that?

Cool idea but there are some experimental jets (X) that i would like you to make.
X-15
X-31
XA-Razorback

These are real but really cool jets. Also the first jet in "Screenshots" is a F-117 Nighthawk. (Which exists and is replaced by the F-22 Raptor)
