This pack adds 26 new instances of classic VW beetles (Type 1) to your city traffic. They are all My Sim enabled, and each has a custom icon, so you'll know which is which in the catalog. There are early model split-window versions in red, yellow, blue, white, and black,later model oval window versions in orange, green and bronze (tan) as well as the prior colors. All come in both hard top, and ragtop versions. I'm a VW nut, so I tried to make these close to the real life versions (including stock paint colors), however I intentionally left the chrome off, because it looked horrible, and there are no license plates because they look better without..some other minor discrepencies exist, but only other VW fans will really notice.
These are all based on the maxis original..which I personally never liked as it looked TOO beat up. If you want to modd these into props, or whatever, and release them, feel free to do so, just be sure to give me (Elric888) credit for the skins. If you want to re-color them also feel free, but you might want to contact me first, as I have a .PSD set up to make it really easy, and I'll share. If there is enough interest I can upload it here.
Despite the fact that many people have mentioned they prefer to pick and choose which vehicles to install, these are all in one pack, that's just the way I prefer to do these, but upcoming packs will be in individual files. Look for more with custom paintjobs in the next few days (before anyone asks..yes the Herbie Beetle is already skinned, and will be included). If you have requests for custom paint styles ask away..
