  4. I was going to run Apache Web server on this machine for a network homepage, and found that the Wifi card that comes with this machine, is not supported. I will look at getting the whole secureboot or fastboot or what ever it's called sorted out and maybe I will be able to actually use this machine as I wanted to use it.
  5. Thanks for the fast replies everyone! Haha, Yea I am just fed up with this awful Operating System. There are a truckload of programs that won't work with Windows 8. I have the latest drivers from Intel. Made the issues a little less obvious, but still there. Software rendering had zero effect on the game. Everything thing is set to application settings. I would try dual booting Windows 8 and Linux but, this machine has the FastBoot thing from Windows 8, which prevents any dual booting and turning it off causes the Windows 8 Operating system to be unbootable. Also, Ubuntu does not have all of the drivers I need for the sound card and Wifi card. Yes, I could use Wine for some of the drivers, it would not be very responsive.
  6. I seem to be having graphical issues in Windows 8. The following collage is made using Intel HD Integrated Graphics. I also found these on an Integrated ATI HD 3000 Series laptop running the same operating system. I seem to not have these issues with Windows 7, which is what the machine with the ATI integrated card has now. I tried changing everything to application setting and running in compatibility mode but, nothing worked.

    I believe Cities in motion 2 had this at release. That was back in 2012 and made by a small time game developer. This type of half done laziness should not be tolerated.
