About This File

The ANZ building is located in Auckland, New Zealand and was completed in 1991, it has a height of 143m and is one of the tallest buildings in Auckland, the building is easily visible from the harbour and throughout the Auckland CBD. This is the first building I have made in 3ds max.

Included in the file is both the landmark and CO$$ growable version of the building.

Updated - The building now has better textures and has night lights.

All I can say if you have a great building there. But the only problem like you said and other thing is mainly, the textures are bland or too bright if you have any applied. Secondly, no nightlighting, which can be an eyesore but if you're using an older version of 3dsmax. Then maybe you don't have nightlighting. I'd give it a 3/5

Now this shows some potential. The textures are to bland, but you got the basic idea of things. I give tis a 5 becuase of it's detail and work you put into it and that it's great for a first BAT. I don't rate low becuase of lighitng, but most people do though. Any fine work. I can't wait to se you improve!

For a first that is amazing! If you fix up the textures a bit and add night lighting then your set for a 5/5. Great work!

Needs some nightlighting, and textures seem too smooth. However, I still give it a 5, because this is an exceptional building. Nice Work.

Really good first upload think you could get some help from the forum to improve some details like the textures and the nighlights, and then it would be a winner

Very nice, but let`s get the night lights going, want to see that blue globe light up at night.

The textures are way too saturated and there is no night lighting. Those two things could be easily fixed and take this from being a 3 to a 5. The model itself is very nice. Make a second version I'd say.

nice one fayrov, I love having Aust/NZ content and the distinctive blue of ANZ will look great in my city. I have to agree though that it's still too clean, it would be a shame to create such a cool building and not take it all the way.

Same thing about the night lighting :P But just one more thing, ANZ have changed the logo at the top of the tower. May want to update your model :)

Well I'll not talk about saturation or night lighting, as it has been said already. It's, overall, a decent start. Yet there some odd things - like silly discrepancy with sizes. Building should (given it's re-creation) have larger foot print. And the glass dome on top should have far fewer faces... Also structure of the lattice is different...

In addition to the other's comments, can you post the stats and if there are any dependencies (I don't think so but it helps to make a note fo that).

Great shape, interesting looking; but like the others said, the textures (if there are any) are bland and flat. Shame, really, as it would be a great looking building with the right textures. And nightlighting would be interesting to see in this one....
