About This File

Some people just wish they could have fancy, and others wish they could scare the neighbors without much effort. So for those who want to do that, here's the last of the Eagleland series, the "Corrupted" set and it's collection of single family homes. Everyone always associates old house = haunted house for some reason, so that's why they look the way they do. But alas, dark isn't evil, so here's the list of houses:

Convexity Lane: It's a small single family (or singles) home. With a chimney (boy  I'm uncreative at times).

Lancelot Victorian: It sort of reminds you of the Adam's Family home doesn't it? Too bad it isn't big enough to be it.

Midna's Place: A very cute looking house, that is, if you like black as much as Henry Ford did.

The Dickerson's: It's a large family home, mostly inspired by all those fantasy movies involving kids that I had to watch when babysitting so much.

Like all the other kits, it ranges in growth stages 1-5, giving a good chance for these homes to appear before a mansion or apartment. For the tileset, it's set on Chicago (all though I highly believe that Maxis just based everything on San Fransisco buildings and just said Chicago), so it's for older looking cities.

The zip file has the readme, so you'll get better instructions in there.

For the lots to be able to work and look properly, you'll need these dependencies:

Eagleland Texture Pack www.simtropolis.com/STEX/details.cfm

Eagleland Resident Prop Pack www.simtropolis.com/STEX/details.cfm

SimFox's Trees www.simtropolis.com/STEX/details.cfm and www.simtropolis.com/STEX/details.cfm

Too plain for me (Color wise) Once again not a great set but not horrible either. Try to put a little more detail to these lots they do have potential. There are many people out there that can help and give advice all you need to do is ask for it. Thanks:)

are these a joke or something? are they suppose to be that unrealistic?? I mean the models look pretty decent , but the textures seem to be intentionally bad, is there a reason for that?

The textures as supposed to be a bit of a fusion of cartoon-like and realistic, but it needs work. These are just the first few in a long plan of buildings to come, so hopefully, things can improve on my part.

Yes glopy, that what's all these building sets are going for later on down the road, but I don't want to make them look like big plastic buildings like this first batch.

This is okay, but as everyone else has said, it could use some more detailed roof textures. The model shape itself is not too shabby, just needs some spicing up.

I like your models and lots as such, but you should consider doing something about the textures. IMHO, they look too cartoonish the way they are now. And the colors add to this impression. not that they are bad, but the mix of colors + the look of the textures still give a plastic feeling

The houses have a nice structure, but they are really red, even the roofs. Since they aren't very typical of a real nieghborhood, you might want to make them ploppable instead of growable so that folks can control where they want these "spooky" houses.
