Two Mountains  1.1

About This File

This is a flat region with two "mountains". It has a harbor and an island in the Downtown. This region is great to build big cities on it. I hope you have a lot of fun with it.

How to use the Greyscale in terraformer:
1. Create a new folder in your "regions" subdirectory. This will be the name of the region.
2. Copy config.bmp to the new region folder.
3. Launch SC4TerraFormer.
4. Select the region folder you just created.
5. Click "Ok".
6. The full program will launch. Close the "Overview" window.
7. On the menu on the left, click "Global Tools."
8. Under "Global Tools," select "Import image."
9. Navigate to the folder where you have saved the greyscale and click on the file. Press "open".
10. Save and exit SC4TerraFormer.
11. Load the region you just created.
12. Play. (Don't be alarmed by the colors; when each tile is opened, the colors will change to your normal ones.
Thanks to mkaustin for this guide.

Note: The grayscale image cannot be rendered in the game using the standard Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R method. Terraformer is needed to do it as explained above. Or alternatively Mapper can be used too.

However for ease of installation, you can install from the Rendered zip file which is attached. Just copy this folder into your Regions and then it can be loaded up. Once saving each tile it'll appear with proper region view colours.

heocon2002: You find My Documents -> SimCity 4 -> Regions and make a new folder with the name of your choice, then download the config.bmp and put it in that folder. Click download and save the file as (city name).JPG. Open the game, select the region you want in the region select box, and it should come up with a blank patch of grass. Hold down CTRL ALT SHIFT R and navigate the popup box to the folder you put the JPG. Select that and it will install the region. Any problems PM me =).

Great simple map for a big city and suburbs, but after using method of importing into Terraformer(as usual method didn`t work), every map in the region now has permanent grid lines over them. Any ideas, or is that just normal?

Very nice looking map. This is the sort of thing I make from scratch. I prefer medium sized cities rather then large ones though.

I'm at the last step but what happens when you finish with the popup box because for me nothing happens and it's been like 20 minutes. Btw I can't use SC4 Terraformer because when I make a new region in the folder it doesn't show up in the box to select in SC4 Terraformer and it doesn't show up in the game so I have to use this other option. Any help on either or both problems would be great thanks.
