About This File

I only did this by request. In ddition to making the road overlay wider, I also tried making aBUS STOPlot, and a FIRE ENGINElot, they're effect radious' are adjustable if you click on them with the questionmark.I reccomend turning the bus slider to the left, because alot will want to appear at first. These TE lots are an EXCEPTION, however, I will say just use as needed. These are designed for crowded areas, where you can't fit buildings. This is the only Fire Engine RoadI know of, similar to thePolice Road lots. There are places wherestuff will appear and disappearon them, and in some instances there is the possibility of other animtion. If you can do better, I seriously advise you to do it!

I'm pretty content with the present avenues, and this one just looks too out of place in cities.

I've been waiting for someone to make an avenue like this. Looks freshly paved too, like it just opened in a cities newest subdivision or commercial district.

Well, Im not a big fan of your textures, but everybody is free to upload what thay want just as any one is free to decide whether or not they want to download. What is not right is to tell other what they can or cant upload. that is seriously bad behavior. that should be banned.

you know its kinda of disappointing you delete peoples comment who give you constructive criticism and ignore the NAM teams advice. to all viewing comments i strongly emphasize this is in no way endorsed by the NAM team or fully compatible with it.

"if you can do better, I strongly urge you to!" I sent you a PM with one. Feedback on your lot: Poor textures and wrongly executed, but I think you should know that by know.

I see you deleted my other comment on your other upload. I was actually trying to help you out by giving some tips. Now my only advice would be to stop uploading until you can follow the advice you're reciving from other members. I will re-state that you need to do alot more work on your textures. Try to bring them up to the standard of the Maxis ones.

You deleted my comment as well. I feel that I was offering just criticism, and the others who got deleted were as well. The fact is, this is not an improvement from the previous upload, and it seems you haven't taken the help people have offered into account. And it reflects in the rating. c0ckatoo is 100% right on this matter.

"If you can do better, I seriouslyadvise you to do it!" Right... but the point is that we are not rating you because we can do it any better. We are rating based on how it actually looks which reflects either your skills or effort put into it. Can you still guess what a rating of 3 means?? 3/10

This is hardly any better than the last one you uploaded. And I noticed that you deleted all of the comments that gave you a thumbs down, and left all of the ones that gave you a high rating. This looks like it had only taken 5 minutes to make. If you use Photoshop or a similar program and import the base RHW texture, you can create a 512x512px image and import 8 straight RHW textures, rotating them to create 4 roads leading into a junction, leaving a 256x256px gap in the middle...

You can then fill in the gap in the middle sampling the lightest tarmac texture from the texture of the RHW, and then darken the area where the road will be worn. Sample the dark texture from the middle of the traffic lanes, and use the brush tool with hardness at 0%.

Hold down "shift" to create straight lines. You can then create markings, by again sampling the colours from the markings of the original texture part of you lot. You can then split the texture up in 128x128px squares. Hope this helps.

You delete any comments with criticism and you ignore any advice anyone gives you. Read the comments, look at the advice and stop making them in ms paint, or I don't see the point of you even bothering.

"if you can do better, I strongly urge you to! " https://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa230/warriorST/str-1.jpg I can't make textures very well at all but I did this on MSpaint, using other MAXIS textures in about 5 minutes. My comments on your lot are above.

@ warrior : Thanks, that`s a good texture ^^ @ j-dub : When it`s a upload for only somebody, why don't you send thise files per mail, ICQ or so ? We`ve givenyou a lot of constructive critism, but I don't think you`ve had take them to your heart ...

I have reported this comment board to a mod. You guys need to give him a break. At least he has tried to show some improvement since his last upload, only to be received with petty insults and harsh criticism. If you don't like it, then don't download it. "No one is forcing you" - Haljackey As for the lot. I would suggest opening a thread in the transit modding thread, so that you can get some help, rather than these ridiculous, unhelpful insults. :)

Psycho: I think people have been quite civil with j-dub. I think people on this site expect a certain level of quality and this falls far short of it by all standards. It seems as if j-dun has not learned anything from the largely constructive criticism on his previous lots. Secondly, if he has the right to post bad uploads we have the right to criticise them and rate them lowly. j-dub: Please get some help on these things you upload. The ideas are good but the execution is substandard.

So, you're saying that responses such as "an embarrassment" and "textures suck" are civil? Please, give me a break. These people are not helpful or civil, with the exception of a mere handful. Any further debate about this will be carried out in this thread: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=22&threadid=93969&STARTPAGE=1#1250647

By adding a bus stop and a fire station to the lot is not an improvment, I would guess he added the bus stop and fire station just to make it a "correct" TE lot. @Psycho_Teddy : You obviously don't know about STEX comments, I uploaded a Dual Ave/GLR station and a lot of comments were against the lot. But I admit the building on it was useless.
