Actually, there was no funny-looking in the terrain screenshot...interesting, as the file I uploaded did.... I blame society.

Looks like my hometown! Very nice. But mappers never seem to realize where downtown is located. You have to small peninsula area in the left corner, where most of the downtown area is. Just a suggestion to others that there is a lot of bAltimore that is in the north and western hills Best i've seen yet, though

I think I see John Waters waving from Merit Boulevard in Dundalk! Gonna have some crabs and Natty Boh! Seriously, I agree with the above post that downtown is a little off center, but otherwise great job on my hometown!

Great Now Sims can be Baltimorons. Seriously good work on the Water System I can almost see Canton and Fells Point from here

Great region. I couldn't get this to work to start with. The terrain JPEG was 24 bit greyscale when I dl'ed it. Converted to 8 bit greyscale (256) and it worked fine.

I had to convert the JPG from RGB to greyscale, but after that it looked good.

Baltimore may not be the biggest, most glamorous or perhaps the safest city in the world, but the terrain is GREAT to build the simcity of your dreams. The Inner Harbour is great! Good job!

I'd love to use this map, can someone tell me how to convert it to greyscale?

The map is RGB. The map is supposed to be 256 shade Grey Scale.

Great map!!....have been looking to build my hometown. anyways...to make this map work you have convert the jpeg file to 8 bit grayscale like others have said already...also you have to resize the jpeg to 1025x1025. hope that helps. also don't forget to rename the bmp file to config.bmp in your folder.
