Introduction / Overview
Tai Yuen is yet another massive residential complex made up of three phases. The three phases are separate BATs and offer many options and possibilities. They will look good both next to each other and as individual buildings, and have been lotted and modded to be as useful and flexible as possible.
This download contains Tai Yuen Phase 3, a block composed of three towers that are arranged in a gentle curve over a joint, boomerang-shaped base. The base section features a parking garage entrance towards the road and an avenue right through the building! This is something you don't see every day, and it had an impact on the lots.
The growable lot included in this download features full transit-enabling because everything else would have looked stupid.
The landmark lots contained in this download come in three versions. The regular ones are transit-enabled either at the front of the lot, or fully throughout the entire lot. The version that is only transit-enabled at the front side can be used to plop two Tai Yuen Phase 3 lots directly back to back, which looks rather spiffy. However, the avenue through them will only be eye candy in that case.
The fully transit-enabled regular landmark lot cannot be used this way due to game limitations that forbid placing two transit-enabled lots in a row. Hence you will have to leave a strip of at least 1 free tile between two Tai Yuen Phase 3 lots if you want to plop them back to back. This space is rather easy to fill with small park or forest lots, though, and in exchange you will get a fully functional avenue through two multi-tower residential complexes, which should make for quite a spectacle in any CJ.

- Landmark (fully transit-enabled; fully functional version)
- Special Edition overhanging landmark lot for use with diagonal roads
Special features of the Tai Yuen set:
Modular layout - the lots have been designed in a way that several Tai Yuen lots plopped or grown next to each other will blend into each other seamlessly; footpaths leading to the edge of one lot will continue on the next lot without a break or disruption. Phases 2a and 2b feature this connectivity at their left, right, and back sides, Phase 3 on its left and right side. Two Phase 1 lots grown or plopped back to back connect visually to the sides of phase 3 and the sides and backs of phases 2a and 2b.
