Are you talking about the Concorde ? Since July 2001 it hasn't flied indeed, because of an accidental crash while landing off.

Nope. It's called the Boeing Sonic Cruiser, originally intended to replace the 767.

This is rather cool. Too bad the sonic boom will probably kill the whole idea.

LOL... the plane is suppose to travel below the speed of sound, but faster than normal jetliners right now. However, with the fuel price, Boeing shelved this project, and went on with the 7E7, which is now known as the B787.... Love the model btw :P

So, will fly above my cities like the Maxis jetliners do?

this plane is now in japan to go on with the study of of replacing the old SST plane and it is et to fly sometime in 2011

This was the original design for the new 787 "Dreamliner." After this was abandoned, they decided on a more conventional layout that looks very similar to the past ones.

bezout14 you must not know the story a dc-10s part of the engine came off when it took off and it was on the runway the concorde was next to take of and once it hit the sharp engine part the wheels got flat and some parts of the wheel went in the engine which caused the big fire last concorde flew oct 23 2003 went out of bussiness because people were scared to go on it even though we should been those useless DC-10s
