Ed Harkin just loves telling the news. In fact, perhaps a little too much as he often renders The Smalltown Muse pointless by blabbing his scoops at Emma’s over coffee. A true lover of his profession, he changed the weekly paper to a daily when he became editor twenty years ago. It’s not always easy to find stories every day, so Ed keeps the paper’s twelve pages well stocked with what the city tourists often call fluff pieces. Turn to page three and you’ll often find tantalizing gardening tips by Ester. Page seven usually has a picture of someone’s child at the park either swinging or eating ice cream. The seasonal poems always draw an extra reader or two. (Last year’s “Ode to Winter” was especially good.) Of course, no small town paper is complete without the classified ads. Jim Willford sold his tractor over two years ago, but the ad is still running.
The Smalltown Muse is the eleventh release in the Smalltown, USA series. This package contains both growable and ploppable versions of the building. The ploppable version shares the same jobs, pollution, etc. as the growable. The only differences are a plop cost of 2300 and bulldoze cost of 230.
