About This File

This is a collection of "those" types of businesses. generally adult orientated, and not completely desireable in your cities. They are offered to add some gritty realism to your cities.

NO EXPLICIT CONTENT IS INCLUDED

These lots are offered to those looking for them. If you are not interested in these growing in your cities, then simply don't download them.
There are, well, I forget how many lots and buildings included. This set has evolved over time, and I added a few here, and a few there. The smaller lots tend to grow in abundance in younger cities, before the education levels rise. They cause a negative park effect, and lower your mayor rating. If too many of them grow in close proximity, you will most likely see riots form... The good old bulldozer can remedy this. Or lots of police intervention.

Some of the businesses included are :
    •    Blonde Bombshells
    •    The Queer Steer
    •    Deviant Desires
    •    Steves Adult Books
    •    Al's Gun Shop
    •    Goobers GoGo Club
    •    Tattoo Parlor
    •    Trixie's VI

All of the lots are growables. Some are also made as plops, which can be found in the landmarks menu.

RE: The Nimby Lots. SC4 is a game about realism. The real world includes both the Naughty as well as the Nice. Thus, the game would be incomplete & that much less realistic without the "option" to include lots such as this.

I don't approve of these, I've said my piece before. My only point is this: If the reaction from most of the community is positive, then why are these still NIMBY lots? OH, you can recognize that these are undesirable aspects of the world we live in.

SG - I agree that for the sake of realism, lots like this have their purpose but I would prefer that they were ploppable, not growable, so that I could develop a dedicated "red zone" in my city. BTW, I love the name "Queer Steer"; I wonder what goes on in there!!

These business exist every where why not in our SimCities? I would rather see more of this than more silly tall commercial buildings. Most cities only have a handfull of those monsters if any but there are dozens of business like the ones in this collection. Very well done! Thanks!

wow so much has been said already, but, I think Peg said it best. these lots add realism to SC4. even if you dont approve of the lots concept they do exist in modern cities. In fact, simgoober is saying that even he does not approve of this type of building by giving them a NIMBY effect

heck, I may be wrong, but, I think this is the first growable to even have a NIMBY/YIMBY effect added to it. I dont frequent such establishments myself but I am tempted to dl these just so I can demolish them. thanks Simgoober for taking that step beyond the line in a tactful way.

also I would like to say that I knew right away that this was a simgoober set of BATs by the excellent textruing. only Simgoober (and a few others) have the ability to make BATs this realistic. as for props, such shops usually dont have a lot of things outside of thier stores.

A great little addition to the lower class areas you often see lining main roads around cities. As for what has been said about the quality, the textures look accurately plain, and I have never passed such a structure with an abundance of props "cluttering" the exterior.

I can't believe the reactions I'm seeing here. There isn't one building here that couldn't be shown on primetime American broadcast TV, and businesses similar to these can be found in any medium or large American city - even in the Bible Belt. This is reality - thanks Goob!

I am more annoyed by the immaturity of some of these comments left. This isn't the place the express your love for sex. However, these lots are indeed a good addition to the game, but lack in better lot detail. I will give this a 7/10.

Whoo-hoo, thanks for adding more variety to my lower wealth neighborhoods. DEV, looks like the degenerates outnumber you. "Faint images?" How closely did you look?

People want real world feel to SimCity, but have a hissy cow when little bad things pop up. Get real people and open your eyes...you'll find places like these all over the place! Great Job SG and Thank you for adding more realism to the game! 10+

I just started a more shabby part in my city, and the CS$ demand is skyrocketing, so these will fit in well, esp. with the NIMBY effects that will keep down my R$$$ demand and help the R-$ stuff to develop. I've seen billboards right across our local school that are more suggestive than SG's pics.
