Statue of Robert E Lee 1.0

I am so happy that you are making this series of statues, they are wonderful.

Monuments are something we need more of in the game, and you do it well.

Great work on this. These statues are excellent.

Great work. However, Lee was an A$# and the war was about slavery. The N and S had been fighting about it for years before the war. Shove your states rights BS. I'm a historian as well and that war was all about slavery and nothing else. History books do a nice job cleaning up Lee's record.

For the record, the war was lost becuase Lee left his battle plans at a camp sight and the Union found them. That was a true sign of a great general. The should have sent them all to prison for treason.

Nice statue, but how could Lee have despised the institution of slavery if he had a large number of slaves himself? He should've despised himself as much as I despise him for that. He gets more respect than he deserves.

By the way, the game could use more statues and monumetns, would you mind making more? And if you do, could you do them for actuall people who deserve them(i.e. Jefferson, Lincoln, JFK, Clinton, Harrison Ford, Jimmi Hendrix, Will Wright)?

@tomirish: Haha.. Good suggestions.. The first three you mentioned are on my list, but the others are new to me.. Harrison Ford? Sure, but only as Indiana Jones.. ;) Clinton? I'll still have to think about that one.. Jimmy Hendrix.. Neah.. But Will Wright? That's a good suggestion!

Very great statue! Lee did fight hard, and I do think he made some honest mistakes, but for all you people out there, please don't dis Lee for his thinking, we all have our constitutional right to speak, but lets keep that to positive remarks about the statue

By the way... 10 of the first 12 presidents were slave owners... The only 2 of the 1st 12 not to own slave were in the same family... John Adams and John Quincy Adams. How about a statue of the two of them? How about a statue of FDR?
