Avenue Sidewalk Texture Mod
AKA: Uni-Density Avenue Mod
By: Swamper77

Description:

This mod replaces all of the avenue textures that appear low density zones and park areas. The sidewalks will appear like the ones in your medium and high density zones. I have also redone some of the textures that are used in the NAM, mainly the one-way road to avenue transition textures.

UPDATE: 11/12/04:
Due to the "Uni-Density Avenues.dat" overriding the game's original textures, the overpasses and interchanges of highways and avenues looked odd. I have gone through all of the avenue interchanges and repaired them. The repair file is listed as "AveHwyInterFixes.dat"

Installation:

Place the "Uni-Density Avenues.dat" file and the "AveHwyInterFixes.dat" file in your MyDocs\SimCity 4\Plugins folder.

Uninstallation:

Delete the "Uni-Density Avenues.dat" file and the "AveHwyInterFixes.dat" file from your MyDocs\SimCity 4\Plugins folder.

Enjoy!

Thank you.Are you going to be doing the others (road, street, etc) as well?I'll also lay odds that this is incompatible with the other mods lide torocas street mod.

Great idea. :) I would suspect it is compatible with the aforementioned, but I'm not sure exactly how he approached the issue ...

woelfwynde, tragicomicus: the mod is compatible with Trolca's Street mod. I tested it with his mods installed. I'll see about doing streets next, since they also have the grass strips along the sides. The roads and oneway roads might be done later.

I'm not sure exactly what changes this makes...Is it just the median that it changes? Ah well, i'll give it a go *click* :)

Great work. I can't wait to see what kind of changes this will bring to my city. They look very realistic. 10/10

addax: If you look at the industrial shot above, you'll notice the grass that is normally visible is replaced with concrete. The mod removes the grass strips along the sides of the avenues in low density zoned areas. It also removes the grass from the medians as well.

What about a Low Density version - it would be good for those who don't like seeing acres upon acres of concrete...
