About This File

Easily the most recognizable landmark in the Detroit Metroploitan area, the Uniroyal Tire sits on the south side of I-94 in Allen Park, the corridor that leads from Detroit Metropolitan Airport to downtown Detroit. Originally a ferris wheel at the 1964/65 New York World's Fair, it was converted into a tire shortly thereafter on the site where it currently resides. Having undergone several facelifts over the years, this model is a representation of its current form. It stands at 80 feet tall and is the worlds largest tire.

This is a landmark only file. It serves no other purpose than that of eye candy as that is its purpose in real life. However, it has a positive effect on your mayor rating within the game so it does have value so to speak.

This bad boy sits on a landmark 2x2 lot and can be found within the landmark menu with a custom icon of a real life picture of the tire. The stats are as follows--- It costs $45000 to plop, costs 90 per month to maintain, power consumed is 15 and consumes no water, has no effect on pollution whatsoever, has a fairly positive mayor and landmark effect, and costs 100 to bulldoze.

Have fun with it and feel free to showcase it wherever your heart desires.

Yes, this had been released and subsequently pulled. I'm in the process of re-uploading the lots I had on here before and a couple of new ones.

Did you update the lot, or just the description (I noticed the spelling was corrected for the lot's name.)

Just the description. If and when there is a major overhaul, it will take place when I have a firm grip on custom queries. Until then it is what it is.

One of the few things from visiting the World's Fair I can remember. Nice to know its still "alive". Don't know how I'll use it yet, but thanks.

Great to fonally see some Detroit landmarks on the STEX! Though I disagree with the tire being the most recognizable landmark here...I would say that it is Renaissance Center. Nontheless, a great lot!
