Hey all, No update this go around, but I wanted to let you all know that it may be a while before I can prepare and show a full update on New Humboldt. Real Life has changed quite a bit for me the last month with a new job again, which consumes majority of all my time. I have not gotten hardly any SC4 time in. I promise, I plan to return when I can, but wanted to let those that follow know what's going on. The Ring Road project is still not complete, and I look forward to showcasing that soon! I also, just before my new job started, launched a new region! I hope to Showcase Alexandria someday soon as well! Stay tuned and wish me luck on my new adventure. And as always, SC4 is a top priority, just not as much as id like. Thank you for your continued support! --CityNut607 Here is a small teaser of Alexandria.

This will be a small update, as I am currently working on said project, but I will have the in depth play by play when it is ready. This will more than likely be a multiple part update. So be on the look out for those. First off, I want to thank everyone for their kind words towards this CJ! I never imagined it would be so liked by the community! THANK YOU! I also appreciate the words of advice towards making the New Humboldt CJ even better. Second: I also want to say that I started a new job two weeks ago, so RL has changed a bit, and this will change playing frequency. But I still plan on continuing with New Humboldt for as long as I can. Today's update will show the "proposed" route for a new ring road around the Fairway Metro. As the area continues to develop, a need for a way around the city has been needed. The project will be completed in phases as most road projects go. The eastern side of Fairway Metro is still undeveloped (I haven't gotten there yet). The proposed highway will start on the south side of the City and wind west and eventually north. This will avoid traveling through downtown to get to the west. Here's the map detailing the proposed route. (with alternate in dotted) I will be back with a detailed update of the construction! Stay tuned!

Hello! Welcome to another update on New Humboldt! Sorry to have kept you waiting. Today we are going to look at a community called Edinburgh. It is situated between Claxton and Fairway along I-45. Location of Edinburgh: Edinburgh is a small industrial city. It is home to one of the regions power plants. Humboldt power, Plant #2 Edinburgh is also the county seat of Jackson Co. of the state of New Humboldt. Here is the central courthouse square: As a growing city, Edinburgh has decided to upgrade its central artery from I-45. Up until not it was a 2 lane road with heavy truck and shopper traffic. It will be upgraded to a 4 lane highway with center turn lane and SPUI interchange at I-45. I-45 will eventually become 3 lanes all the way from Fairway to its terminus at I-40 in Millerville. Traffic is increasing between Fairway and the port in Claxton. I hope to have an updated region shot soon as I have been doing a lot of farming! Till then! Take care! --CityNut607

Hello! Finally I am ready to showcase "The Beast". I gave it that nickname, because I believe this is the most complicated RHW interchange I have built yet. Sadly, I did not document as much of the building process , but I do have lost of pictures of the completed project. If you are new here, in my last update on Fairway, I decided I was going to plan a new highway along the river front in the Downtown. It seemed simple in my head, but got out of control quickly. But, I did and its done. Refresher: Here is Fairway before the new highway: And the proposed route: And this is the final result: And now, the closeups: During development. You can see the old right of way still in place. This is about midway through the trial and error stage. Did some tweaking and added lanes to this Entrance/Exit. This serves one of the main roads downtown. Final result of the spaghetti T. Entering the Beast: This is the end point of "phase 1" of the project. "Phase 2" will connect the highway back to itself, creating a loop around the city. "The Beast" with traffic. It works perfectly! I know that was a lot to take in! Its OK to breathe! I will try to get a more detailed play by play on how I plan and build my highways soon. Look out for that. Thanks! --CityNut607

Hello everyone!! I have exciting news! I have picked up my SC4 playing as of late and have decided to expand my region of New Humboldt. Claxton has been the only major metro in this region, but I am embarking on a new 2nd metro. It will be known as Fairway. It will connect to Claxton via the regions road network. The Humboldt map is HUGE and my main goal is to fill it! I started a metroplex about two years ago ago on this map, some pics are on ST. I have abandoned it and felt the need to start a fresh one on this map. It by far has been my favorite map. So many possibilities. This post does not contain many pics, so sorry. This will be the center of Fairway. And here is a poorly done stitch of the region. The outer rural communities of Claxton can be seen in the far bottom left corner of this shot. This is where Fairway will connect with the Claxton Metro. I have the areas labeled. Check back for updates! --CityNut607

Hello! In the last update, we left off in Millervile and the proposed new river crossing there. That project is now complete! This is the "proposed" route of the new Reed Highway Bridge over the Williamson River. Sight work and ground breaking have begun on the north end of the project. Ground breaking has also begun on the south end of the project in Allenton. It includes a bypass of Allenton, and an overpass over the train tracks to help with congestion. This is Phase I of a larger highway building program to connect Davenport to the south with Claxton Metro (I-40 in Millerville). Davenport is a medium sized community on the southern coast line of New Humbolt. Regional growth should connect these two cities. Work progresses on the new intersection with Foster Blvd. South St. re-alignment Completed ramps to I-40. North side of the project is now done! Before: After: Continued work on south end of project: New Interchange for Main St. in Allenton. Final stages. And complete! Have a great weekend! Lots still happening in Claxton! I am also contemplating starting a new region as well. Stay tuned!

Hello all! Today we are going to focus a little bit on one of my newer developed areas of Claxton: Millerville! (in the yellow circle) Millerville is a larger community east of Claxton Metro. It was developed as a manufacturing town and grew into a nice little city along the Williamson River. It boasts several large companies and a nice quiet small town feel. Here is Millerville a few years back. You can see the Miller Power Company just to the west of town. It helps power majority of the region, including Claxton. Miller Power and the surrounding industrial park. Millerville does have a small port on the river to help service the industrial park, and helps connect it to the Port of Claxton down river. Downtown Millerville in present day. The waterfront was revamped and enhanced recently. There is also the Millerville Farmers Market and many many local shops. The infrastructure in Millerville is a little more outdated than that of its neighbor Claxton. The Reed Bridge was built almost 80 years ago and is only two lanes. The bridge and highway is connected to I-40. City planners are already working on a fix for the outdated Reed Bridge. It hopes to connect the farming community of Allenton and Millerville with a new 4 lane bridge. That's it for now! My next update will hopefully be out this weekend. I have a lot of new areas to cover!

I have been spending some time working on the outskirts of the Claxton Metro. I am working on a more detailed update, but for now, here is the current region overview! I have added 7 new city tiles to the region: Hoover Haleyville St. Leonard Naperville Brave Millerville Kelly Ridge (ignore my poor cropping abilities.)

Its construction season here in the Claxton Metro, and a busy one at that. The city has seen some pretty big expansions happening and new roads must be built to accommodate the new increase in traffic. First on our tour is a new main corridor in Brighton. The city is expanding pretty rapidly, and new development in the works has forced city leaders to connect two major roadways. This will help spur any new commercial hopefuls. Next up is a new overpass being built to help ease traffic through a rail crossing. Train traffic has increased, and has caused major traffic backups. This overpass will eliminate the need to stop at the rail crossing. The Walton Memorial Freeway (WMF) is being expanded northward through Brighton to meet up with the industry port there. This will connect the two ports together from Walton to Brighton. This new road expansion will also accommodate new development in Brighton. Next stop is back in Walton. This is the new spur of the WMF to the north. This alignment forced the move of some homes and businesses, but it was needed. There was also a major overhaul to connect this new spur to the existing one along I-40 An updated Transit map of Greater Claxton with the work area highlighted. Thanks for viewing! See you next time! -CityNut607

Don't have a lot of time to post, but have been busy working on Claxton Metro. I will leave you with this teaser region shot of current progress!

Sorry for the long wait on this update, but I've been busy! But I have found some time to play SC4 and work on my region. This update is going to focus on the City of Walton. Walton is one of the port cities in the Claxton region and has a pretty significant industrial presence. Here are the beginning stages of the port in Walton. Overview of the whole map. The main drainage ditch that flows out into the bay runs thru Walton. Region map update to include the expansion eastward in Claxton. A nice close up of the port. It serves Military, Industry, and leisure. Because of Walton's strategic port, heavy traffic was flowing into and out of the city. Regional and city leaders needed to find a solution, and that solution was to expand the highway network through Walton. The decision was made to build a new bridge crossing the port right next to the existing bridge. Here is the route of the new highway. It will connect with I-40. The new Walton Memorial Freeway will run through the heart of the industrial park to give more access to the port and region. Work progresses on the new Andrew P. Halcomb bridge. The new expressway has already promoted new growth in Walton. Sometimes Suburbs have to be sacrificed in the name of progress. The new T connection with I-40 Overview of the north end of the project complete. And last but not least the overview of the whole project done. With new development continuing. That's it for now. I am hoping to do another update this weekend. I have been developing the area shaded in red the last couple of days. Thanks for joining!!

This weekends update on Claxton includes two new areas that have been built up. Stanwood, and Tipton Islands! Here is the much requested closer pics of Claxton. This is the CBD of Claxton complete with harbor. This is the home of The Claxton Pirates. Here is the junction of the two main highways that travel through the metro, I-35 and I-40. I-40 turns into I-440 at I-35 and heads west into the CBD and loops back to meet up with I-35 in Stanwood. This is Claxton Memorial Hospital. Claxton Harbor. This is the start of Stanwood Major roadways are complete. I-440 is seen on the west side of Claxton ridge looping back east to merge with I-35 again at the Y. Stanwood Develops. There is a major commercial district with plenty of shopping and eating, serving both Claxton and Stanwood. Quiet suburbs on the northern tip of Claxton Ridge. One of the two major malls in Stanwood. Claxton Ridge Place. The second larger shopping center in Stanwood, Ridge Heights. Now we enter Tipton Islands. This is a quiet little burb just WNW of downtown Claxton. It featurs a quiet historic downtown and small harbor for leisure. Development of Tipton Islands. The town on the mainland is simply named Tipton. Downtown Tipton. These are the Tipton Islands. They sit in the middle of Claxton Bay and are only accessible by ferry at the present moment. The first Island does offer some beach area for warmer months. Quiet upscale neighborhood on the main island. Current region views of Greater Claxton. That's it for now! I will be working on finishing more of Stanwood this weekend. And hopefully expanding Greater Claxton to the east.

Flyover of Downtown of Claxton. Here is a preliminary transport map. (sorry for the issues with the way Nobleton saved.)
