Sims can die of disasters and natural causes. The death by natural cause is affected by your life expectancy rating. The lower the rating the sooner they die. When they die they get replaced by the descendants. They get named the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. The death by disaster is caused by God(you). They tend to avoid that one pretty well though. I remember blowing up one of sim's houses 7 times and they still didn't die. When he did finally die, he died saving chimpmunks. He just kept just kept going in there and grabbing more and more chimpmunks says local neighbor.

You didn't really understand my situation, but don't worry about it. I chose to just obliterate the city. Thanks for your help though.

Hello, there is one wierd bug going on in my city. The demand for my city has frozen in place. This wouldn't be so bad if the small shops didn't stop at -5500. I lowered their taxes to 0, yet they still refuse to move in. On the other hand, the other commerical, industrial, and residential groups manage to piss and moan when I raise their taxes. I pre-planned my city and it started with a bang. I have 7500 commercial jobs, 2100 industrial jobs, and a residential pop of 3700. A year has passed but the demand hasn't moved even after 6 months of the free time.

New Worlds TALLEST tower Proposed!!
gashleyf replied to storms991's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
I want to make a comment on why the U.S. isn't in the competition for the world's tallest building. As said by hamsterTK, we don't have any real reason to make a huge building besides for maybe the grandeur. We have the strongest and most advanced economy in the world, so we don't have to prove anything. Not to mention the fact that terrorrists only give us reasons not to build them. Also, any success for a country in the Middleeast will be short-lived. They can't supply us with oil forever, and if you watched the news, then you'd see that we are developing hydrogen cars. Even if they aren't going to be profitable or marketable for at least another 20 years, the facts show that the Middleeast is going to have some serious economic problemsin the not-so-far future. -
Personally, I think the WTC memorial should remain as it is, but if it has to be remodeled, then I'd like to see good-sized building (not quite as big as the Empire State Building) be built there, and the remaining area around it should be used as a memorial park. Also, as an American, I would like to see my country holding the honor of having the world's tallest building. Those Malaysians have stolen the title from our Sears Tower with their Petronus Towers. As implied above, I don't want it to be built on the WTC memorial.

Personally, I think that the world's best, most amazing, most building is the Statue of Liberty. It is a true monument to liberty, freedom, democracy, and it is a symbol of America. By the way, that picture of the Buenos Aires capital building reminds me of the White House in the U.S. capitol, only it seems a little smaller and less decorative.

INFO: Map Installation Instructions
gashleyf replied to bigstunna06's topic in Mapping Community Room
Thanks, as it turns out the name was the problem. I always renamed the bitmap config.bmg, but as it turns out the game automatically adds the .bmg, so the bitmap was named config.bmg.bmg. Thanks, I owe you one. By the way, it seems like you have been posting and helping out people a lot. Maybe you should consider becoming a moderator or something like that. -
INFO: Map Installation Instructions

I have a small problem. For the past three hours I have been trying to render my map. When I tried a message appeared that said that I had a map whose resolution was too large or something like that. To solve that I downloaded Landscape Designer, but I don't have the slightest clue when it comes to working it. How do I get the resolution for my map to go to 1025 by 1025 using the Landscape Designer. Thanks in advance. -
