ummmm from what I remember the original winnipeg city hall didn't so much get replaced... it burned down. While the new city hall isn't really that pretty is is part of an architectureal set,; city hall, the concert hall and the museum of man and nature that all face each other across the strip of main street that they are located on. They are all the same style and fit together with a sort of concreate charm. -

this is some really great info, I have been laying my train station on side rails for a while but I hadn't ever made the connection in my mind that if the trains work this way then it was likely that the monorails did too for congestion.

Something I have noticed eyein, is that the length of your trains increases with the amount of people using the system. In my tech districts where the majority of the sims are commuting too, the trains are very long, but in the burbs they are much smaller, you may want to consider that when you are altering the length...
