Excellent pictures as usual! I particularly love the design of the dual Churchill Plazas by tonks in that one picture, very creative! Please show more, and thanks fro the ongoing ideas (I'll start my own, just wait...)

You know, Square lots are alright with me. Square lots keep game-play fairly simplistic, and we can all see how complicated it can get when working with diagonal buildings in SC4. Another thing to consider is if Monte Cristo will have square lots as a basic resource, and we can tweak any lot if we want to by cutting off corners, shaving patios with roads, or destroying backyards with superhighways. Remember people, its not all about how great the game looks or how ridiculously realistic it is. Its got to be a reasonably enjoyable game experience. SC4 has excelled in making a game that is fun to play. I hope that CitiesXL has that same replay value.

I love the videos, is that an academy award I smell? lol. So I would really like to see what you do with the NAM avenue sidewalk fillers that were just released, it seems like you really could use those puppies. Till next time via chat.... Sean.

I'm a fan. I second Hal's suggestion because It always seems like if those certain show us... threads aren't responded to in two days, they loose their appeal. I am guilty of that myself. Great suggestion and I hope this is supported in the new forum mergation. (yes I made that word up)

So I just brought home 3dsmax from school, and have decided to BAT, so please, show me some building you want (or suggestion verbally) an I'll try to honor them. Thanks!

I am currently on vacation, so no update, but simfox, I am using autodesk 3dsmax 2009, and the tutorials are amazing. While it is more difficult to use than Gmax, its easier than Blender, and I'll get the best results I think. The difficult part to me is using SimCity scale, because in school I was doing things like sketching bridges, and small power tools not to exact scale, so theis the first challenge when I get home (Monday). I have downloaded a parking garage off the stex, as well as some San Fran buildings as .3ds files, and I have seen the basic scale of things, so I'll go from there.

I am still applying what I've learned in auto-CAD class at the high school to building Bating, its a little different, especially the windows. Right now I have a box, a very ornate box. Once I get windows, I'll detail and texture, but first I'll be on vacation for next week, so maybe I'll crank out a neat texture, who knows? Thanks T-wrecks for stopping by, maybe u can help me with the modding for my lot, but only after I get it done in BAT. An did you see Snakes and Arrows last year, cuz I did!

Patriots_1228, what a reasonable thought, I might try exactly what you have suggested, no more suggestions people, sorry!

Oooh, a historical ride through downtown. Lemme guess, the next update will show us all how you have mastered the MIS and applied them to the old interchanges.

wow those pics look amazing. Two things: get rid of the UDI icons, everyone makes that mistake, whatever, and 2: you have three pic dupes! That's it! The Cj looks well crafted as meny realistic portions really look like NYC. Have fun and good luck!

I guess i'll have to comment, I like your progress with showing the roads as if we were following them, haven't seen something like that in a while. Looks good, keep plugging away
