  1. The Empire of Chaumont - 'Delightfully Oppressive'

Date: 10/28/2005 10:55:44 PM Author: jarnomiedema Thanks for your comments, Pipishere, Micah and Pica (Micah and Pica.. Hmm, are you related? ) Anyway, inspired by a wonderful video recently published in Pipishere's excellent City Journal: The United Kingdom of Cordovia , I set out some four hours ago to do a video for Chaumont as well. Yes, I know.. It's not very original of me, but hey.. I had to do something to keep this CJ on page 1 of the CJ section and keep you all interested before we get to the big update tomorrow! Besides all that, I was actually working on the video in the hopes that I'd manage stay up long enough to get an e-mail from Shadow_Assassin in which he would tell me that he has rendered the GMAX models I sent him.. And guess what? Just as I was preparing to send you this message, I got it.. That means that I can start building lots tomorrow, make the screenshots and then prepare the update to show it to you.. Excited already? In the mean time, you can watch the video I made.. It's a 7.4 MB, 1.11 minutes long WMV file and it should basically tell you the things that you already know.. But, since it's my first video ever and I'm pretty proud of it, I felt I needed to share it with all of you.. Enjoy it and feel free to let me know what you thought of it.. Seeya tomorrow! You can download the movie right here: http://www.savefile.com/files/9901263 (Be sure to have your speakers on.. I think the music is beautiful! ) quote> Great video! and cant wait till the update tomorrow Cant wait to hear the news on what happened in Chaumont!

  11. F1 street circuit

Date: 10/4/2005 11:39:15 AM Author: edcase2k4-thugangel1983 it would be just as difficult to succesfully make that. any custom creation you want to have moving automata on will need custom paths for the automata.... and 'Lots' won't work properly as puzzle-piece for this. even though automata's paths can pass through one Lot, it will not succesfully pass through a succession of Lots. therefore puzzle-pieces can only work as NAM-style pieces, and i know for a fact this wouldn't ever be included in the NAM. however you could make a fixed circuit layout within one Lot, but it would be restricted to the maximum size a Lot can be. (16x16 maybe?). not really a good size for a racing circuit quote> Well if the max size is 16x16 then maybe a nascar stadium would be possable.... They arent nearly as large as F1 but still would look pretty good.... if anything you could have it made up of several lots..... the 16x16 being the track and have special stadium seating for people to place around it as they please.
