Hey there, I am just bamboozled by the same thing. The argument line in Lutris and inability to start my profile. Wouldn't it help if the profile would be set inside the confined wine system created by Lutris for SC4?

It's on another drive where I keep all hacked stuff, permissions look fine. You think some Windows Defender put it's hand on it?

For the life of me my region does not want to load upon game start, always getting Timbuktu. It's just Bananaland V2 renamed to my custom name, with same name put in region.ini in the Name = line. What am I doing wrong? Another annoyance is the game always asks about reconciliating edges although I always tick not to ask again. Cheers. EDIT: I tried qutting out to region and quitting game, did not help either

Much thanks for your explanation. I am now running dgvoodoo and hw is on. The issue was I wrongly understood the SV instructions and refrained from using the Textures B .dat file. It's working now and I am so happy.

I am trying to figure out where to place the terrain mod Sudden Valley in the load order so that it doesn't CTD when opening a map for city. I am using sc4pac, but SV is not available there - I need to install it manually

Hey, I went step by step and isolated the problem happening after installing CAM with sc4pac. I have no extra terrain, trees, water, just performance and game enhancements from Ultimate Guide + NAM. After installing CAM I get straight into beach placing crash. Did you manage to figure it out by any chance?

Beach placing crash is back. Now I have only mods installed from SimCity 4 Ultimate Guide, even removed manually isntalled Sudden Valley that was manually insatlled. Question: Do I need to actively install anything from here: Ultimate Guide Dendency List ? Do I maybe need to install all of those? Or is sc4pac sourcing dependencies as needed? Finally it is clear. Thank you. @memo I am confident , that at least a shortened version of these instructions should be provided to users in the GUI as a pop up or anything. The concept of the main \UserDir and subdirectory \Plugins inside is not intuitive at all for someone trying to get into it. Great work with combining all the mod sources, the GUI and what's underneath! EDIT: Finally it is working. Thanks again!

Hello, I've been trying to set up my profile for a long time now. @Ulisse Wolf and others were very kind to help me out on discord but it's still not working. Currently I am trying from scratch and put my profile in X:\GOG\SimCity 4 MOD\SimCity4\MAIN2025 The game is installed in X:\GOG\SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition\ Shortcut made manually from SimCity4.exe, Target: "X:\GOG\SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -UseDir:"G:\GOG\SimCity 4 MOD\SimCity4\MAIN2025\" Tried also: "X:\GOG\SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -UseDir:"G:\GOG\SimCity 4 MOD\SimCity4\MAIN2025" Installed only SC4GraphicOptions to test if it works. Dxwrapper set up, log ok, resolution set in GraphicOptions mod, intro set to false, loading game I see intro and low res. What could I be doing wrong? Also: Any suggestion for a simple mod that'll make me see if the profile works straight after booting the game to reduce troubleshooting workload will be helpful, thanks.

Hi, I was installing the mods with SC4PAC following instructions how to create profiles. I created a profile MAIN and placed it in Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\, so it's Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\MAIN now. I install mods, but I have read here that DLL plugins should actually land in \Plugins, not in \Plugins\MAIN Question: What could I be doing wrong? Question 2: Do I have to manually move them to \Plugins as it is with the INI files - or should they be in \Plugins\MAIN? I have the impression that they are actually not working.

@Ulisse Wolf much obliged, I will double check about the VC 2022, but they were working fine before I started fresh with sc4pac. I think I have my profile folders configured wrong in sc4pac, I asked in the respective thread already. But now my dlls do not land in \Plugins, but in the profile subfolder. Will see what answer I get there.
