Sadly, Boformer just confirmed that he may not come back to the game due to real life. This means cobble stone roads will not make it into Network Skins unless someone else picks it up and adds it...or it is added to NExt.- 813 Replies

Sorry, the paragraphing was a bit funky in my reply. I was continuing from the first paragraph on road meshes and trying to tie in the perceived similarities between the boardwalk seamless skin and skinning roads with cobblestone or brick. After your explanation, I see it is more than just meshes that you are toying with for the boardwalk. I LOVE the photos of the boardwalk and can't wait to see these in game. Cobblestone and brick roads are just something that keeps eluding the game and I thought this might be an opportunity.- 813 Replies

@andreharv Looking great. I know that Network Skins is better suited for brick and cobblestone roads, but I am fearful that the mod may be on pause, as Boformer has become less responsive on the forums. Is there any way you could reconsider working with @GC_Vos to include them in NExt? It does not seem like it would be a large leap from the amazing pedestrian paths you have created, but I won't pretend to understand the amount of effort that it would take to create and maintain. BTW, there is no paypal link on the NExt page. Is there any way we can show our appreciation for all of the work you guys (all of you) have done on this project? This is not meant to be a bribe. I am starting to go around to the modders and designers to show my appreciation. What you guys do takes a lot of time and adds so much value to the game and we should know how much it is appreciated.- 813 Replies

@andreharv Would it be possible to do this with bike or bus lanes on roads? The idea would be to reduce the number of roads to choose from and add missing functionality such as 2 lane one way roads with trees and a bike lane, grass with bike lane, etc.- 813 Replies

I believe the idea, if we are using the term the same way, is to reduce the amount of manual work that we have to put in when we want a highway that is divided in the middle. Quality of life improvement...- 813 Replies

@boformer Amazing work on all of your assets and mods. Thank you so much for your contributions to the community. Thanks also for sharing your long term vision of where Network Skins is going. Could you share a little bit about the immediate next step for Network Skins and do you have any estimate on when it will be released? -

Cities: Skylines - Community Modding Requests
baduncansd replied to Cyclone Boom's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
I really wish I had the skills to create a 3D model and make it ready for the game, but I am starting from ground zero and typically end up crashing my game when I try to import my fbx. Due to this, I thought I would try petitioning for a skilled artist to take up a commissioning job to create the Ellis Island Immigration Station as a harbor. There are very few Harbor options in the workshop and this would definitely help with my city.
