Results announced here!
Images in our cities can look realistic, but editing them with Photoshop can make them seem lifelike. Take them to the next level, add extra effects and details which aren't possible in the games.
Yes, it's time to get artistic and put your editing skills to the test. This time we're looking for an image from any city-building game, using at least one image manipulation technique. This can be subtle or complex, it's really up to you.
There's really endless possibilities, and any scene can be used for the image. Also it doesn't necessarily have to be edited using Photoshop -- there's lots of alternatives out there (e.g. Gimp, Paint.NET, or even web-based tools). Even Word has some basic built-in tools!

Create any Lot to be used in SimCity 4
Season 3 - Challenge #03 - Content (31 days)
This challenge is all about creativity. We'd like you to develop any single Lot which can be used in the game. It can be any type, shape or size, and have an unlimited selection of dependencies. Although for obvious reasons, we suggest to keep this reasonable.
Of course, the obvious tool of choice would be the Lot Editor by Maxis . However, an alternative would be to use the PIM -X , which includes its own advanced editor for creating lots. The choice is yours, and it's really what you feel most comfortable with.
In terms of the lotting, the rules are completely open. Use any means or technique to create anything to your heart's desire. We only ask that the Lot functions in game, such as a ploppable or growable. A screenshot must be taken showing the Lot built in the game.
The winner was the top ranked image after the voting period, with the final rank determined by the ranking system.
For this Custom Content challenge, rep prizes were given for the top 5 placed entries, along with points for the "Overall" and "Monthly & Custom Content" leaderboards.

Create a Lot designed to accompany a roundabout
Season 3 - Challenge #06 - Content (31 days)
Roundabouts are primarily designed with functionality in mind. They're supposed to help the flow of traffic, improve safety, and reduce congestion compared to a normal road intersection.
However, there is also an aesthetic element to roundabouts. Fillers can occupy the empty space in the middle, and greatly enhance the otherwise boring appearance. This filler could be anything really -- from a simple plantation of trees, to a monument surrounded by fountains.
For this challenge, we're looking for you to create a 2x2 Lot, which functions as an avenue roundabout filler .
The winner was the top ranked image after the voting period, with the final rank determined by the ranking system.
For this Custom Content challenge, rep prizes were given for the top 5 placed entries, along with points for the "Overall" and "Monthly & Custom Content" leaderboards.
