  1. Overlay Texture conflict?

It's this particular overlay texture popping up unexpectedly
  2. Overlay Texture conflict?

This is how it looks in Lot Editor
  3. Show us What you're Working On

That's a lovely selection of props there, crying out to be made into prop families. Looking forward to the release!
  4. Advanced Lot Plop - new GUIs with DLLs

    (this is all very exciting!)

Two pictures of what I have been working on today. I do love what these Pedmalls and what that Dll has done for my residential designs. I do like the juxtaposition of those three towers as well. Has anybody made a 'Pedmall under Monorail lot yet? Did I miss it? One that allows pedestrian traffic under the 'rail?

That's looking like a Mattb325 creation, spectacular work @Barroco Hispano! After a thermal event on my PC I had a week of crisis and no SimCity. Everything is 90% back to normal now, and I have been busy getting back into my Mayor groove. This is the Fangela Industrial Zone, a small city tile squeezed in between Large ones that is used for Jobs. Industrial zones remind me some what of motherboards, of which I have seen a lot of recently...
  7. DONO Airport Security Fence Roads and Fillers

Excellent airport designs there, I'm taking notes!
  8. Calamity! My PC had become too dusty, had a thermal event and caused me all sorts of distress in trying to fix the hardware problem. That's all sorted now, but as I feared SimCity 4 would be the trickiest thing to rebuild. I've dug out the 2013 with the download code, downloaded and installed SimCity 4 and it should just be a question of copying over my Plugins in the SimCity Installation folder and then the SimCity 4 folder from Documents. But the installation didn't seem to create a folder in Documents, and the game itself just won't load. No error message, no loading screen, it's like it's just ignoring me. Also, not quite related but frustration anyway, I thought I had copied over everything in Documents from my old hard drive before I formatted and did fresh install of windows, but it copied every file and folder EXCEPT the SimCity4 folder!! Why would it do that?! I have a backup on Proton Drive but that only dates from 28th December last year, frustrating but not the end of things. If I download that and plonk it in Documents with that solve my non-loading issue (presumably SimCity is checking for that folder first, not finding it then just giving up? I'm in Windows 10, for some reason just before the PC crashed a config log of my installation of SimCity Those are the last settings that worked, how would I replicate them in the new install? This game is very dear to me and I'd like to get back into it asap, it's my 'zen garden'
  9. It was, but I got through it and hopefully others will learn from my hideous journey! lol
  10. There was, the graphic settings within the game had all be set to nil, I've set them all to 'high' and things are back to normal now, my city is back!
  11. What was I missing? Something, I don't know what but I solved it by copying the whole SimCity Deluxe folder over from a Proton Mail backup. It loaded fine, Now it loads, but there are some graphical issues though (all the buildings are missing) but I'm sure there is a remedy for that, right?
  12. Update, I copied the old Maxis\SimCity 4 deluxe folder over, then gave my user permissions to modify the folder and I get the blank loading screen but it cuts out before we get to the title. What am I missing?

Blisren Island, a soon to be densely populated medium sized city square near the big airport. Happy near year everyone!
  14. Show us your Riverside, Lakeside, or Oceanside

Some dense residential with Hong Kong BATs, high sea walls due a healthy 21st Century fear of sea levels...
  15. Show us your Riverside, Lakeside, or Oceanside

I like what you did with the ploppable water and the viaducts, some nice parks too.
  16. Show us What you're Working On

Finger slipped on the zoom so thought I'd take a picture while I'm up here. A suburb, rows of houses, office parks and supermarkets.

(I don't know who or what keeps attacking this venerable website but if I ever find them I will do terrible things to something they love and see how they like it) East of the Triumph Of Ullanor Park, the majesty continues... I've grown as a person, while I care not for Sport, residents of my City might, so I have built them a sports park so they can do their thing. The hell am I allowing Golf though....
  18. Show us your Region!

"Monorails and bike lanes" I like that thinking, very Solarpunk
  19. Show us What you're Working On

I am so pleased with how the rebuilding of this corner of an old tile that I've named the housing estate after the 'Triumph At Ullanor' from the Warhammer 40k universe. To hell with the hubris!
  20. Show us What you're Working On

What I've been working on this week. I originally started this city tile back when David Bowie was alive. The ploppable Residentials and Pedmall upgrades have really kicked life into these older designs, this game will never end!

Building a municipal beach, wondering where the Summer went in the Real World...
  22. Customising JS Seawalls

I'm customising the JS Seawalls set so I have a bit of variety on my water fronts and having one or two little issues. The model for the walls themselves doesn't show up on the lowest zoom setting, also at zoom level 4 I get this problem, but not at other zoom levels. I've been advised that I need to meddle with this setting in the Desc file in Reader, but it still doesn't show up in the lowest zoom. Am I doing it right?
  23. Customising JS Seawalls

    Success!
  24. Customising JS Seawalls

Thanks! I'm learning so much in this thread, plenty to digest!

Yayy for Collabs! More of this sort of thing, what a spectacular lot!
