    Any idea on when the City Journals section will get done or in what order with the remaining sections (I know Omnibus is one of those)? Also, circle or square, it doesn't really matter to me. My pic can fit either (both current design and soon-to-be-released design)

Some of the things that got cut from the audio of the episode: High Wealth Residential moving where I don't want it at the same time I got a church... guess who just donated their land for the church's location? Cemetery? Why not? We'll put it at the end of this street at the top of the city... Apparently a lot of the city is compacting to try to fill the demand. i.e. - 2 houses per zone. Updated Road map: Video Description/Credits: For some reason the game just closed on me and I lost everything I was working on. Good thing I made some backups. A few other hickups this past week has further delayed this episode until now. The post on the Simtropolis forums will also be slightly delayed, but with good news to make up for all the delays: I'm going to be bumping this series up to up to two times a week. For this episode, I opted for a more montage feel as opposed to, well...not. The main focus of the montage is when the simulation is running as opposed to the rest (which is when I'm going over what I did between shots and other plans for the city.     Allow me to start by stating that I'm hardly "new" to this forum, I just haven't been here in years. So much has changed, I don't even have a clue where to begin looking. The things I'm looking for are a lot editor and a terrain editor, for Windows (if that makes a difference). I used to have both, about 2 PC's ago, but, as I said, I don't know where to begin looking. I tried a quick search for the terrain editor (the main thing I'm looking for) and came up empty. Allow me to expand on the details for the terrain editor: it's one that can edit the ENTIRE region at the same time, instead of city by city.

    Considering I read through every post in one night when I saw a (at least partially) road oriented CJ, and found to like it, I remember the demolision of the route and the stubborn resident who didn't quiet want to move. Awesome.

    In tight city areas, highway interchanges tend to criss-cross with elevated exits or other methods to lessen space taken. I suppose it's a matter of building size to highway size as a rough comparison, which makes it look less realistic, imho. Also, the major thing the Maxis hwys are missing are the accel/decel lanes. Also be nice to have them 2 lane and no outside barrier (except for el-hwy)

    The ramps are actually the only steep slope. I manually graded the slope for the E-W HWY (though it could use a slightly more graded approach). Thank you for the rail tip, btw. Learn something new everyday. I fixed the E-W HWY not being able to go certain directions on the NW-SE HWY.

    Been trying to get this done since this thread was started. A way to have a triple highway interchange effectively. I saw Rionescu's post and had to see what I could come up with. Found out a few things in the process. Plan the exits out first. Use pencil, not pen. Triple highway interchanges are complex, no matter what. Here's the pics: ***NEXT TWO IMAGES HAVE A SPOT I FORGOT TO CLICK TO FIX*** edit: saw something in the pics I missed til now. re-edit: saw an exit direction I missed two ways. The E-W HWY cannot reach the NW-SE HWY in the same direction of travel. Very simple fix. just need to add short ramp to N and S ends of interchange. I will note that there is NO redundency (drivers can, of course, exit and re-enter their own HWY, but canNOT miss an exit and take another one to lead to same location.)
  24. There is one more factor you NEED to consider when editing a config file. Actually, 3... First: the size of the config file (ex: 8x8) is how many small cities across by small cities down your entire region will be. Second: do not edit the config once you start terreforming (especially anywhere you may have started a city already) or you will lose said city and all work related Thrid: the important factor with Red (small) Green (medium) and Blue (large) when making the cities is the RGB value for whichever color your trying to use MUST be 255 and ONLY for that one color. (of course the size you paint the area in matters too, Red doesn't, but Green must be 2X2 and Blue 4X4.) additional help: there is a program out there somewhere called "Landscape Designer" which will allow you to import grayscale maps and create custom configs to those maps in whatever dimensions you need/want, will generate random terrain for you, and can simply be used to create a blank config should that be all you need. (The config part can be exacting at times, which can be annoying sometimes)
  25. SimCity 'World' (5) coming up?

    I've noticed no one else has mentioned this, so I will. How can possibly expect to do another SimCity game where so much of the fan created items will likely not transfer, thus forcing a start over of all sorts of modding, thus making it's initial impact split between those that want all the goodies and those that can live without. I, personally, prefer the tons of lots, etc. that is not available on the initial release of SC4RH. For a SC5 to do well right off the bat, they would need to include, basically, several DVD's worth of lots that have been created. (Major retail locations, Major fast food chains, Gas Stations, more fine tuned parking lots, smoother and more flowing roads, more customization of roads and highways, more variety of RCI & Farmland, etc.)
