I use both Simgoobers and Pegs as I didn't see Oppies until recently. I really like how Barbyw transitioned from Pegs to SGs (what else would one expect from a goddess ?) I do wish though that they would agree on a color for the water (I really think SGs is too blue).

Hi, DavidBrown, lets see if I can help as I'm like you in that I don't do windows When you go to unzip do you 'browse' for the location to put the file? If not, then that is your first step. When you do browse, you want to specify, (your name) documents, Sim City, Plug-ins. If I were you at that point I would click the button that says new folder, then name the new folder something that will remind you of what you put in it. Most people that put things on the STEX test there stuff but you never know - with separate folders for thing you can then find stuff that causes problems. I wish I had done that when I first started downloading! If this doesn't help either click on my name and send me a PM or go to the Help squad. Good luck!

Yes, he did. Mostly in Hot Springs with his step father (his biological father died before he was born). -

Yes I noticed the zukes. Oh, I finally started reading Bill Clinton's autobiography. What is interesting to me is his childhood (we were born the same year, I'm about 1 month older) and how similar it was to mine (although my father did not abuse Mom as his did his Mother), but how we spent our time mostly outside in the summer - no TV or air conditioning so it was easy to be out and about. Of course I've bairly started the book - this is not going to be an easy read! -

Just thought I'd stop by now that I have a little time. Been playing SC like a fiend so haven't visited much. Thanks again John for your help with the sig. I really like it and the avatar. And thank you too Voar Tok, for your offer of assistance. So what's been happening? -

Well, I can't say if it's the new technology or that I'm now using Mozilla Firefox to access the forums. but I don't have as many time outs. -

Thanks guys, I tried a couple of times yesterday but have no clue as to what I'm doing. I truly think that getting the avatar to work was a fluke! Any help is appreciated! -
I wish they wouldn't remake those old gems, they never seem to add anything, and more times than not the remake just sucks. If they could add something, it would be different, but they remake them expecting us to 'enjoy' the remake just because a new 'star' is in them. They have started showing ads on the tube for this movie and like other remakes it just makes me cringe.

@ephorex_77: I'm sorry, I didn't think you were implying we were all stupid, what I wanted to know was which action does what? And where these actions are performed (do you mean write the post, then ctrl-A to copy and ctrl-C to save? If so where do you copy from and save to? )? @leech10: I am sorry I spelled your 'name' wrong, I wasn't paying close enough attention. @N_O_Body: I didn't understand your reference to an 'HTML break command' (It was like reading Zuke)? Please keep in mind my computer knowledge is very old and basic, I stopped keeping up with it years ago so have no knowledge of HTML. So please clarify, what is wrong with using the 'enter' key to start a new paragraph? @zmveliger: Thanks for the drink, I really need it after all that. I agree, it's a shame we haven't had any direct conversations before this. One of the posts that I couldn't make because of the time out thing was in regards to your global view, which I find refreshing. Have you heard from MsD? -

@MsD: I don't think Truckin_Papa minds you leaning on him, at least not from his post. Actually I hate to cook (yet another reason to miss my husband who was a great cook and even liked going grocery shopping!) I'm not making bread, but a type of meat pie (traditional food from my heritage), I could use a short cut like some of my relatives but since I only do this once or twice a year I like to do everything the way my Mom did. (Although how she cooked in this kitchen I'll never know - ugh, I wish I could raze it and start again!) My sister lives next door (youngest sister) and she and a friend of ours will come over Christmas day - we'll eat and chatter at each other and generally enjoy - maybe go to a show? Usually all my brothers and sisters (except the sister that lives back east) and various in laws come (I live in what was the family home) but, seems like everyone is staying put this year. @Leach10: Could you aks them not to blow things up in here, they're very noisy and messy! -

@toxicpian 'zmveliger' is right, some of your post are worrisome. Is there an adult you trust that you can talk to about these feelings you have? Have you been to a doctor to make sure you're physically okay? Or is there some kind of medication you're suppose to be taking? @MsD: Almost ready for Christmas, will be spending the next couple of days cooking. The things I'm making are easy, just time consuming. (letting dough rise, rolling and cutting etc.) Tiding up the house for company. And how are you doing, other than being worn out by a four year old? @ephorex_77: Well, you told use to use ctrl-A and ctrl-C, but you didn't tell us what they do? It may be obvious to you but some of us (like me!) don't intuitively understand all about computers and are still learning our way around them. @sloppet: That was really nice of you to get cake for Ill Tonkso's Birthday - and even nicer to bring it here for us to share - I'll have some, Thanks! @zmveliger: Now you've really intrigued me, head and heart are somewhere else, good luck ! @N_O_Body: Well, I did check the time out but it didn't tell me anything (I might not have done it right - fortuneatly, the refresh button works most times), I have since followed your suggestion to use 'notepad' to write my post. Another Blizzard please, to go with my cake. -

A couple of months ago I made a rather substantial contribution (for me, on a fixed income) and then I started having time out problems and the site got hacked and there were more time out problems and now I have to re-log-in every couple of pages and the time outs are getting worse. So I think I'll refrain from contributing more for a while, not that I don't want to support the site but because I've hardly spent any time here with all these problems (visit one or two CJs, the Bar and Grill if I can- then gone). -

@Voar Tok: No the problem with the Log In is still with us as of 1:26 PM PST (Pacific Standard Time), I was looking at a CJ and every couple of pages it asked me to log in! (It just asked again!) @N_O_Body: Well, the time out thing has been going on for a while but next time I'll check. @Yellowlab: I agree, I really wanted to say a few things in a couple of places and to lose my post like that was really discouraging
