I really enjoyed this CJ when you first started, so it's nice to see you back up and running! I missed the last few updates, but I'm all caught up here, and I am quite impressed with the the LE work here! That port looks impressive, and that's a very resourceful idea with the rail tunnel--not really a trick of course, but how many of us would actually spend the effort needed to do something like that . That transport data view does look neat!

Ponte Valley - The Mechanics of Urban Development

Looks like a good base of infrastructure and a nice start of development. -

Looks like you've got a good plan and a nice initial layout scheme. I wonder how many times a car has plowed onto the yards of one of those houses on Castle Hill...
-
Some very nice views there. I like how the channels look in some of those. Wow, people sure seem to be really concerned about those trees...

Very attractive presentation! The beachfront looks great as well.

A train station from SG! Why I never! And of course, congrats on the Trixies... you have so many, the icon for it won't even show up! Seriously, this community would be at a huge loss without your talents and your dedication to us. The Trixies can only begin to express our gratitude.

I'd say it's no surprise that you won a Trixie! I would have guessed that you'd get aesthetically pleasing, but who can argue that this is a unique region. Looking forward to more excellence here!

Well, I'm more interested in the fact that you're a fellow honorable mention for best city planner. But congratulations on the actual trixie itself! Whichever category it happens to be, it's definitely deserved.

Yes, I too agree, definitely hands-down winner for best planner (although I did get honorable mention... but your presentation is far more professional looking than mine... ). I may not agree with new urbanist principles, but that doesn't take anything away from this excellent city journal. Here's to much more city planning goodness to come here!

I should come here more often. I don't know why I don't. Maybe those killer rabbits have gotten to me... I like the little skinny mosaic from further up on the page. As if you took a real mosaic and crushed it in a Vice. I love that the first Pumba of note was Marbury Vee Madison. Judicial review for everyone! See... I can get into the spirit of this CJ.

I like the street layout and the fact that you didn't go all anti-grid like so many people like to, and that you extended the grid out into undeveloped areas for future development, as often happens in real cities where there is still a lot of undeveloped land, especially in the central and western U.S.

That's a very convincing looking dam. The bridges and viaducts and the associated networks look well designed as well.

That's quite the effort you put into that Wiki article! I really enjoyed reading through it... one would be hard pressed to tell that it's not a real place!

The refinery looks so perfect immediately adjacent to those new seawalls. It almost looks like the seawalls are a part of the whole complex. That's a testament not only to the makers of those items but also to your good eye for putting them together like that.
