  1. This is a very recent issue. My game has only crashed three times in the past year. After the splash screen, it will allow me to move around and do things for about ten seconds before it immediately crashes no matter what I do; even after loading one of my cities it will crash after about ten seconds. Here is the first part of the last exception report: I hope this helps. ~ hiddentemple ~
  2. CTD right after startup completes

Now, the damn thing won't even start - it passes the user account control with no problem, there's about a split second of background activity then nothing. Tried -audio:off, cleaned up my registry, etc. Haven't tried system restore yet, but I'll see if that works out so long as it doesn't mess with my files and whatnot...
  3. CTD right after startup completes

My OS updated last week. I can try using System Restore to see if that helps any.
  4. CTD right after startup completes

It crashes regardless of whether I do nothing, move it around, or loading a city.
  5. CTD right after startup completes

    1) I do have the whole -CPUCount:1 deal in the startup command and it hasn't failed me yet. 2) I have not installed any major mods or made any major changes this year.
  6. Jamison - The city of steel

Welcome to Jamison, the manufacturing center of Cosarara. The steel mills here supply steel (as well as good jobs) for the country as well as giving us an economic leg up. The entire mill complex... and as you see, it is gigantic. And for good measure: the Jamison Brothers Mill Complex (with its three mills, a coking plant with hundreds of ovens, as well as a galvanization chain) accounts for 9-15% of the world's steel production, and is also one of the biggest steel producers in the Western Hemisphere, rivaling even those in Pittsburgh. The company helped build the majority of houses in Jamison. Jamison is more than just steel. Two reputable auto part manufacturers have located factories in Jamison. Our downtown, complete with the local high school (Jamison High's Steel Boys). A closer look... "Business Row", with headquarters of several companies. Crossing a bridge to the other side of the highway, we see two major plants (a electronics firm and a biotech company) that have located here. So high-tech, in fact, that the steel workers think that even the janitors have PhD.s! The Jamison Crossroads, with the Jamison Polytechnic [spellman College] adjacent. Manufacturers of all kinds (medical equipment, electrical components, plastics, aluminum, isoprene, etc.) downrange from the steel mills. Originally for the steel workers to inhabit, this group of buildings now sits abandoned and falling apart. While there are some that want for it to be torn down, others don't really care for it, considering that they used to live there when they were bachelors, working the steel mills, looking for love... That's all for now folks! Be sure to rate, favorite, comment, +1, etc. (P.S. There's a rumor floating around that Twilight Sparkle becoming an alicorn will result in "grave consequences". In response, companies across the nation are considering layoffs for some reason...)
  7. I installed NAM version 35 a couple of days ago, and works flawlessly, with little to no problems. However, it seems to be doing something with my roundabouts: the avenue, one-way, and regular road roundabouts seem to completely disappear, and I usually have to bulldoze the whole thing and attempt to rebuild it, with rudimentary results. This is a serious concern for me, as some of my cities are saturated with roundabouts. I've included a photo below for reference. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
  8. Crash on startup

This is the first time the game has crashed in over a year and a half. It doesn't even reach the EA splash. I deleted (and later replaced) a plugin that was being awfully repetitive, so is this what's been causing this recent problem?
  9. Crash on startup

I moved a particularly annoying building (Poirers Pictures - Kefka/Jasoncw) out of my plugins folder. Crashed the first time. Moved it back into my plugins. Crashed the next three attempts. I am using Windows 10. It freezes right in the middle of the EA challenge everything logo and CTD's. I use a digital version that I bought from an online game retailer last year.
  10. Hello all, I recently got a new Windows 10 computer, and it works great. After fretting for almost a week trying to get SC4 to work on it. Eventually, I had to buy the game digitally (through GOG.com). I also ported over all the data from my external hard drive (regions, plugins, etc.) and put it in its proper place (within the new folder I created for the digital version, since the CD won't be able to work with Windows 10). Here is where the problem lies. My biggest region, apparently, did not fully survive the porting-over process, and so my map has a few holes in it. Is there any way that this problem can be resolved easily, without having to seriously compromise or break the game itself? Any help is appreciated. -- Sparkle Fire --
  11. Thanks a lot! Everything works perfectly now!
  12. This took care of the biggest part of the problem. As far as the situation in the first and second pictures, is there any way that it can be resolved?
  13. Like I said, I've got snapshots of everything -- I even highlighted the files that disappear after the game starts.
  14. I just changed it. Does it work now
  15. I'm uploading everything of the folder that's causing the trouble (in the state that it's in at the moment). Here it is: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BzyK6Qo0FzbTd0pNTmdnSENKM0E Alternatively, I could take screenshots of the region in question with all the details added. If you need anything else, just let me know.
  16. Is it possible to upload the region to someplace like Google Drive or OneDrive, or must it be physical?
  17. The original data is on my external hard drive, and I am copying everything over to the SC4/Regions folder on my new computer. The copying process works just fine, however, when I start the game, some portions of the data that I copied over beforehand are either corrupted, deleted, or something else. Such as a ZIP folder? Haven't tried anything like that yet. I have a special USB cable that goes with the external hard drive.
  18. Just tried porting it over again. DIDN'T WORK.
  19. Won't even recognize the new name (that I'd given to the region before the port-over), and yet nothing changes. This image -- my third -- was taken after I ran the game. The problem persists, and some of the cities have either been deleted or moved somewhere. This is becoming incredibly annoying, and it's getting on my nerves.
  20. I think I know what's happening... the version from my external hard drive ("Full Version"), once it's moved over to the Regions folder on my new computer, the game must be corrupting some of the data in the region itself, therefore causing the big, gaping holes. The first image is a screenshot of the region folder, completely intact from the older computer, on my external hard drive. In the second image, I copied EVERYTHING over to the SC4/Regions folder on my computer.
  21. I've tried several ways of remedying the problem Smoothing over differences and updating all the data from my external hard drive while tossing older save versions didn't work. Completely getting rid of the affected region and ONLY dealing with the updated data didn't work either. I re-installed the game, and not even THAT worked. and now SC4 mapper doesn't even recognize the original version of my region. I'm almost at the end of my rope here.
  22. I'm trying to revitalise one of my biggest cities with apartment blocks from Bixel (the HK-style ones). The city I'm trying to revitalise is quite cookie-cutter and planned out. Whenever I try to plop a Bixel building in a residential area, it always keeps abandoning because of "commute time" and other nonsense. I even tried doing one of these apartments next to commercial areas, even right next to the central business district, and it still said "long commute time" and became abandoned. This is very frustrating. Can anyone help me with this? I'll take a picture of my situation when requested.

  24. The Random Project: SC3KU - Kuruptz Inc.

Is there a specific timetable for these flag sets to be released?
