This is the G-Max model of the Capital Equities building on the STEX and all supporting texture files used for the render. Due to a conflict my system won't export the nightlighting map, so those of you who want to add the lights or just mess around with the model feel free, but if you repost or base a masterpiece on this, a little credit would be nice! -

Update: The building has been resized, I've reinstated the entrance porches and added some roof junk. G-Max model going up on the STEX (complete with nightwindows) so you can rerender/play with as you like A 6x6 medium commerical office, this is the ploppable version (in your landmark menu) which stimulates growth in the surrounding area. No dependencies. No nightlighting rendered, even though it's in the model, due to software issues. -

122 Leadenhall Street is a proposed new development in the City of London, work on which is scheduled to start in January 2007. Building notes: there are no dependencies for this lot. Nightlighting is not enabled as BAT on my machine won't export the night map - anybody who wants to render with the night lighting, please PM me for the models. -

Very nice, but I agree the base is the weakness at present - there appear to be windows on the model, just not yet glassed in. Given it's been 20 years since I last visited the Space Needle I can't say whether it differs from reality, but from a model view however the transition point between the central shaft and the base building itself doesn't look quite complete. That said, excellent job so far!

Capital Equities Limited was founded in 1998 by ex employees of Silverman Pynch Inc., who were tired of the 20 hour days and were already too rich to care. A specialist microcap investment bank, Cap Eq, as it's known, guarantees a 50% return every year on the money invested by wise Mayor's who invite the firm into their city. Beware though, the value of your investment may fall as well as rise and if you choose to tear down the office you may not get back all you invested. Now on version 0.99 - nearly working but I still can't crack the night lighting <sigh> The cash returning bulldoze was causing a few issues so I have removed it from this version and changed the plop cost accordingly to s100,000, but the interest remains the same, so it pays for itself in only 2 years! I made a few additions to the model and hopefully v1.0 with working lights will be ready soon! -

The main problem I had when trying to actually play the game (rather than using it to build beautiful cheat cities) was inpatience - I would stick in massive infrastructure before having the population to support it. Sim Cities are like real cities, they take a long time to develop. I finally cracked it by using a model of building many little self sustaining villages on a map (which use low cost services )and slowly letting them grow into each other.
