  1. trafic Car Crossover

Great! This may help when my fire trucks try to put out a fire, but just end up going around in circles down the road with the fire on it, instead of actually stopping and putting it out.
  2. Dutch Highway Sign

It's a game! I know you prefer your signs to be in tip-top condition, but for a game that doesn't even allow you to customize each side of the sign; this nice vague example is excellent. It is even better as the font and styling keeps in line with the SC2013 theme of trying to be fun and cartoony (in my opinion anyway) :D  I rate this a very solid 5/5
  3. Frickinhuge Signage Set

Great! I always wanted a sign for that exit on my RHW to the low cost, high quality, retail establishment that is lolmart! 8.31(±0.073)/5 Great work Mandelsoft!
  4. This is excellent. not really much more to say.
  5. When I tested the game I enjoyed it so much I built two cities during my beta trial. I can say that the new SC will be a game and definitely a fun one, you'll probably find that the number of people who hold this view to be quite high. That is, if those people take into account the context of it being a game, and not a real strategy city planning and urban design simulator. Since the buildings and content were limited during the beta test, my best advice would be to hold out on pre-ordering the game, and to wait until it comes out and several 'lets play SC' come out. When i played the beta, I was not restricted by any grid. I built a flowing city with a nice curvy roads along the beach and played the game how i wanted to. If you don't like the grid, that's fine; there is no grid in this game as it all just depends on your building style. I admit the size of the city is a bit small, but it can be lived with. As for the 'feel' of the game, it does not feel like SC4 at all to me. To me, SC4 became an arduous tool used to construct the perfect city or region - it simply was not a game to me - The new SC is definitely a game, one could say that comparing the two could be like comparing Operation and actual heart surgery. If you want a good game, I'd buy the new SC (when the prices drop and when mods are supported), if the size limitations are a deal breaker, you might want to consider the newer Cities XL.

  8. I'll bring a taste of Europe to this conversation, Although I live in London, the actual suburbs that make up London aren't that nice (mostly), and it is through my travels on the continent that I have found my favourite suburbs of a city. I agree with most people here that I myself would much rather live in a nice suburb of a city than its downtown. If you lived in the downtown areas then life would be too hectic - you'd never get a good nights sleep, especially during the freshers' week of most universities! The noise and pollution associated with most urban centres will also get you down. I lived in a rather polluted area of London and I now suffer from Asthma and hayfever - even though no one else in my family ever had either (apart from my brother who also grew up in London) but I digress: 1. Zhelendorf, south-western suburbs of Berlin, Germany The tree lined streets and the very green nature of this suburb make this my number one choice of places to live, as a plus it is in Germany so the public transport networks to the centre of town will have to be excellent too! There are many paks and public spaces in this nice sleepy-yet-active area of Berlin. must dash to lectures, will update this post when i get back

  11. How will NAM change my gameplay?

The NAM can be easily found using google search, the NAM also only works with SC4 deluxe or with the rush hour expansion pack, as for the NWM or HSRP, these can easily be found by using a STEX search
  12. read my post sorry i didn't message you before hand, you weren't on my friends list D:
  13. It does indeed, for the meantime until the issue with chat is resolved, we have set up an IRC channel to serve as a temporary chat room. Feel free to PM me for the details. Just hover over my name on the left hand side of this post and wait for the pop-up to appear, then click on send message.

  16. If you bought your game from steam, there is no need to patch it, but remember that the main patch is area specific download the right SKU update or it may cause issues in the future. Remember to install the SKU update before the BAT update. The latter update is for rush hour/deluxe editions of the game, which is needed to get the vast majority of STEX buildings to work. After applying the main update, nested inside the BAT page is the second update
  17. Minecraft

If anyone's interested in my server, it's a 24/7 server with around 80 members total on our site. The server IP is 108.60.138.2:25634 The website features a live map, a small forum and links to places where you can vote for the server and recieve free diamonds. The address is http://worldscape.enjin.com/ . Thanks, Sam. I fully endorse the awesomeness of Sam's Worldscape server! blah blah great community blah friends blah, but the best thing is, we already have a large number of people from ST (mainly those in chat) who play on the server, so you'll feel just as you wouldat home!
  18. This update is spectacular! Your maps are really good, I totally agree with what towerdude said!

  20. Minecraft

How on Earth did I not know about this thread. I gave up SC4 to create cities in minecraft (just pop into chat and see them ) As for adding blocks to a superflat creative world... I would suggest using something more basic, like (in game) voxel sniper and just creating a small hill using the blob brush and then using the erode-fill tool to expand the hill, making it flat and large. Another method would be to use mc edit (or in game world edit) to cut and paste your house several blocks higher, then create a square of earth blocks underneath. The reason why you cannot add blocks to the bottom of the superflat generated world, is because this would be adding blocks below y=0 , which would break mine-craft probably.
  21. We miss you D: come back!

  22. MAYDAY! The chat room's cockpit is empty without you un1! There is no one flying social lobby for us D:
