How can I play SC4 in windowed mode for a mac? I've looked up how to do this, but none of the topics that I found pertaining to this were very helpful.

The tile I'm talking about is pure white though. It basically looks like I have the snow mod plug in. I took out the SAM and it didn't seem to work. I replaced all of the Maxis parks with custom made parks though. No biggie, but it's still annoying to do.

Okay, so.. I downloaded the newest version of NAM an hour ago and I downloaded another plugin called SAM which allows me to select different colors and styles of roads (they all function as streets though). So it's one of these two mods that is causing this problem. Basically I get a white block under the original Maxis parks, playgrounds, etc. instead of grass. It's really annoying, as I have many of the maxis parks in my main suburbs. Is anyone familiar with these two mods who can tell me what's wrong? I'd like to use the SAM because it looks really cool and I'd rather not have to use an old version of NAM for the rest of my cities. Edit: I'm going to start SC4 up again and see if it's still like this. I took out the SAM and I'll also check to see if the white tile is under any of the Maxis structures like the baseball park.

I'll try that. How should I organize roads to shorten commute time? Just like place them sort of at random or just where needed?

How should I organize my residential areas? I always used to use the grid method (6x6 with resident streets and a road or avenue surrounding it), but I'm getting tired of this. I want something that looks more realistic, like a real neighborhood. Ideas would be appreciated
