  1. Sorry, at first I thought it was specific to RTMT, then thought it was a more general issue and then more suited to the other thread. I would have deleted it here if I could have done so.
  2. Adding buses results in no job zots

Thanks for all the replies. I'm guessing that Nonny Moose is right, and the burst of development is responsible. What made me concerned was that I had just installed RTMT, only to see things fall apart. I uninstalled that just in case, but with plopping regular buses still causing trouble, I was concerned that I fowled something up. Checking residential areas, the Sims have mostly short commutes, but whenever there's a long one the no job zot often shows up afterwards -- which wasn't happening prior to the buses. I guess previously they were willing to grit their teeth and drive, but making them use a bus was too much? I guess I'll upgrade some streets & roads, and zone for some closer jobs and see how it goes.
  3. After a long hiatus, decided to play SC4, loaded it my PC and got working on a medium-sized farming town. Everything was going well until I decided it was time to add some bus routes. At first I installed RTMT, placed several stations to connect outlying communities with the downtown...and within a few months I had no job zots all over the place. Exited without saving, tried again, doing everything I thought I was supposed to do. The Sims were using the stations, but no jobs zots again sprang up thoughout my residential areas. I uninstalled RTMT thinking it had something to do with that...but placing regular Maxis versions of the bus stops gets the same results: everything works until I add bus routes, and then it all falls apart. Any suggestions?
  4. Recently started getting back into SC4, loading it on my new-ish PC (Win7). Started working on a region and decided to install RTMT. Immediately after placing stations, however, I get a rash of "no jobs" zots all over the place. Queries show that the stations are working, although I am at a loss how cars use them (dropping off passengers? or just passing through?), but somehow adding them is causing trouble. Is this a bug, or just temporarily messed up traffic patterns?
  5. Medium Sized Train Station

Thanks for the bigger version. I have several of your small train station in my cities, and some of them are being overwhelmed by passengers--this BAT arrives just in time to upgrade!
  6. Uspenski Cathedral

Gorgeous. It's as much a work of art as a BAT.
  7. Church Pack

    Fantastic as always Simgoober.
  8. Museum of SimNation

How in the heck can you crank out such incredible BATs so fast?
  9. GooberGen Aquarium

Incredible & creative work as always SG! All your BATs really breathe life into any city that uses them.
  10. Small Train Station

Looks great, I can't wait to try it out.
  11. The Brastoval Bay Area

As always, amazing updates to your CJ. I especially like how you use differences in terrain, and that mountain stream/river transformation to canal was pretty nifty.
  12. Flopper Stoppers Undergarment Factory

    Hilarious & creative--another fantastic job!
  13. The Brastoval Bay Area

I'm still catching up on this CJ, but just wanted to say what a stunning job you are doing! I'm not sure if I'm inspired to keep learning more & doing better with my cities, or just give up since they'll never look this good. Two particular comments: 1) Please go with option B, explaining why you do certain things. Very educational for the rest of us (ok, at least for me). 2) Thanks for the shots of your industrial areas. A lot of the CJs I've seen so far tend to skip those in favor of the commercial and residential zone, so I appreciate any tips I find on how to better create industrial areas. DCSouthpaw
