About Me
Hello there
My name is Elias (Ilias is right too), I was born in 1984 and I live in Greece. I've been a member of Simtropolis since 2008 and a moderator since 2014. I'm an old member, although not as old as others, and I've seen many incredible things that deserve to be remembered, but also many horrible and toxic moments that should not be forgotten or else we'll be living them again. I'm building futuristic cities, solarpunk towns, and sci-fi infrastructures, usually surrounded by more trees and parks than buildings, connected to each other by subways (even my tiniest villages have subways) and antigravitational vehicles instead of highways, powered by nuclear fusion reactors and other renewable energy sources instead of coal and oil (by the way, Donald Trump sucks), populated by spiritually evolved post-humans with genetic modifications, cybernetic implants and nanotechnological augmentations in their bodies and minds, all under a money-free resource-based economy and an anarchic-technocratic-democratic society. In other words, futuristic post-scarcity and post-capitalism civilizations with no money, no politics, no laws, no war, no pollution, no poverty, no hate, and no fascism. Kind of like Star Trek, you know. I reject the obsession of realism and laugh at the silly limitations it puts, I dare to see what we could and should have, and I open the road to new horizons for everybody and anybody. I'm the filthy cyber-heretic of SimCity 4 community that calls you to see the future, while you still have human eyes.
I identify myself as an amateur astronomer, futurist, science fiction enthusiast, ecologist, supporter of the Venus Project and the solarpunk movement, transhumanist, anarchist, agnostic, skeptic, pacifist, optimistic nihilist, brony (by the way, I love Fluttershy and princess Luna), gamer, dyslexic, and other stuff too. But most importantly, I consider myself (and everybody else, including you) as citizen of the Cosmos, child of the Earth and the stars. Every atom in our bodies, our planet and our lives, such as the oxygen we breath and the carbon on which life on Earth is based, came from dead stars. We’re all brothers and sisters, sharing the same planet, the same needs, the same problems, and the same cosmic roots. We're one big family, a brotherhood of mankind as John Lennon would say it. We don't need political-religion-philosophical-economic dogmas that want to separate us and make us hate each other.
I'm not very social and my English is not perfect, but I'm still a moderator, so please call me if there is a problem
