I really do believe on sc4 there can be a finical crisis because one time my capital Washington D.C. had a major bust in it's market because I believe the amount of job's caught up with the population, and my largest city 2 or 3 blocks away declined rapidly, as in the entire city of 600k had jobless zots over it, but it only lasted for a month, and the result to that was all the subway lines in the city do not work anymore... Another thing you don't want is rapid urbanization, My largest city can grow from 10-50k a month sometimes because of construction everywhere!!!

The part on the 45k jobs isn't completely true with SC4. If you know how to create boom towns (as I call them) you can get towers soon as the traffic get's bad...lol But as said before Traffic isn't a good thing, even though I love it!!! I have a city that is called Charlotte, and it is in a three city metropolitan area. The city itself contains cities within it (not really but I say the city is a metropolitan). Since my downtown is in the central area of the city, traffic on the highway's leading from all three of the suburbs traffic can get bad, like 65535 (I think that's the highest it can go) vehicles a day on a highway, when that happens the commute time get's longer resulting in a need for another commercial district closer to the suburbs and when that happens the downtown area will decline while the new district will become a hot-spot for construction, new jobs, and even resident's, then that district will basically be downtown, then the process happens all over again a new district is needed closer to the suburbs because of commute time...lol At one period of time I had to to build a loop around the downtown area, build two highway's right beside each other, and build toll booths (toll booth's can bring down traffic)!!!

SC4 is way better than Societies!!! I hope they make a sim city 5!!! With Highway's ranging from 6 (3 divided lanes) to 14 lanes (7 divided lanes)!!! I really love SC4 transportation...

Yes it is very possible my largest city has 2.3 million residents, but it was on accident I was trying to give the city a maxium capicty of 1.5 million people but one day I closed my laptop while playing Sim City 4 and when I came back it was at 1.9 million so I just went ahead and developed on, I made my city to be able to support it's self like say if a school has 1500 students in a fast growing area I would not put the capicty to 1700 but alway the way up to 3000, and the build another school close enough to it to take part of that schools capicty too. But I could not seem to solve my cities bad traffic problem, this is what I did, I went to a certain high denisty part of the city and then click the traffic data button to see where are most of the people going to work at (Downtown), so I took down another part of my city to so I could rebuild it so I could demolish the part of the city with bad traffic (not the whole district but about 30 skyscapers) then I built a highway taking the people directly to downtown with a few stops, after the highway was built I built another highway named the northern loop (Which connected the north east and north west parts of downtown), the highways got backed up altogether with like 65365 cars a day or something like that so. So eventually I noticed my city needed millions of dollars to go to the transportation departement (yeah a lot of money was needed), with that I built a lot of Highways, Built a southern loop so downtown could have a beltway, I built a new outter beltway, spent 100s of thousands of dollars on a vast subway system, brought a airport into the city (as soon as it was complete they asked me to expanded back to back so another one was needed), eventually I got the population undercontrol but the traffic was and still is bad I guess due to the metropolitan having a high 9 million people though lol.

It is possible to have 600,000 ppl on a small tile, 1.3 million medium, 2.5 million large. i love to build cities on penisulas on a medium or large tiles.

I have a city named Raleigh that sits on a medium sized block and has 650,000 people and 5 central business districts. the center of the city has a road that is called capital blvd and sits on a hill. but to make a long story short there is so much business districts that the denisty is very high. i wish they had a density caculator of something.

what is the highest amount of cranes you have ever seen at one time including big and small. mine is 59 and 48 of the cranes were to big towers, and the rest were small. And that boom is still happening due to a highway called capital beltway that runs through the cities downtown which at the time was sorry. now office is highly concentrated there with the nations 3rd largest business district.
