That is the question: Although very wonky at first use, the Udon mod is terrific! However, as I'm sure most are aware, it takes up a ton of space, and I'm weighing whether or not it's worth it in the end. At the end of the day, Maxis hasn't really given us enough space for us to use this mod efficiently as it's just too big for a Sim City it seems. I tried the Orion large city mod too, but that one I noticed created some issues (at least I think) in how the game behaved which I didn't like. Considering all of this, I'm asking the community whether they feel it's best to use Udon, or keep things as is out of the box and use more mass transit, etc. in developing their cities. I know most are going to say to use it, but then how do you do so and still make a productive city? I just don't see the sims using the freeways all that much, and I feel the space could be better utilized. I'd love to hear how you all are using it efficiently. Underground, super raised roads? Thanks for replying!

Hey everyone, I've read a lot about proper zoning in regards to building size. I like using the zone boundary indicator before zoning an area to see whether or not I'll have the proper amount of space for the zone to grow. My question is: When a zoning boundary indicator shows up RIGHT at the city boundary, will it actually have room, or should I move over a bit? The same question applies to two zones touching back-to-back: Do they need a little space in between, or can they both expand to full capacity?

Ok, I spent some time digging through the mods section that's linked at the top of the homepage. Very cool! I also found instructions on how/where to install mods, but it seems to be dated information and doesn't pertain to SC2013 (5). Can someone help me out with a "quick and dirty" install procedure for mods. The one I'm trying right now is the most popular one: The huge roads mod found here: -

I'm seeing tons and tons of wonderful content on this site and on the forum, but I'm often left wondering "how the hell?!?!" As the title indicates, what are most people who are writing blogs and doing things like creating freeways, and train depots, and shopping malls, etc. using to do so? I have Sim City 2013 (5 or whatever it's called). I have zero mods installed What would you guys recommend for someone like me who has no clue which mods to install let alone HOW to install them? Is there like a "super mod" or something like that people are using? THANKS! -
When I click "/" I get the population map. I don't even see a "mayor mode" button. I see Great Works, Regiion, and City icons.

Sorry, but what is the query tool? I guess I had no idea there was more than one way to click on a building (to change its name, etc.)
