    Looking great, dmscopio ! About the lot: Don't put too much on it. This would be disturbing the character of this building. Maybe a small fountain in an angle of 90

    *lol* @Simfox @mcarch: Yeah, the base is missing. This will be the hardest part, because the base is mostly unfinished, paul need a lot of phantasie for that. @paul: Maintower is amazing ! Great work.
  8. @skyfire: It depends how strong the structure is damaged. There are no news about that. Another example: This is the Astana-Tower in Astana, Kazakhstan. He had a heavy fire this summer, six levels at the top are totally destroyed. But they are able to renew the top. I guess, this will be the same with the Fortune Tower. Funny: The nickname (before the fire broke out) was "lighter". Now "ashtray"

    *wow* I will bookmark this CJ. Amazing work and a real great idea. Where did you get the "oriental" looking buildings ? (for example this building behind the residence from ks)
  13. Here's another pic where you can see the trapped workers. There's another pic, showing the worker during his fall. I don't wanna show this, because of the respect for dead persons.
  14. I guess both of them. One of the forumers @skyscrapercity work at the Fortune Tower. He said, the subcontractor is from Manila and a lot of them don't care really about safety issues.
  15. Black smoke is mostly a result of burning plastics like wrapping foils, insulating material, electric wires and plastic pipes. The fire broke out at level 8. I guess, this structure (especially the top levels without cladding) workls like a chimney. The workers were trapped inside, they had tried to destroy the glassy cladding/windows. What a horror. One worker had tried to climb down at the fascade and then he has fallen to death.
  16. "Fortune" Tower (u/c), Dubai yesterday on fire 4 workers died, more than 50 are injured. Electrical failure caused the fire. How sarcastic. "Fortune" Tower. I guess, they have to change the name.
