Howdy Folkses,

Time tends to warp at my job.  The days go on forever, but the weeks go by quickly.

I have started a new job hunt in earnest.  My agency is like NY City, If you can make there, you can make it anywhere.  I've made it for seven years and want to make something else.  I'm not sure I'm blaming my job originally, but the stress is wearing me out now and it might beat risking another heart attack.  Dalai & other workaholics take note.

I have decided that I have three goals this summer: 1) look & actually have  another job; 2) Collaborate with a former professor to start a committee to actually look into founding a learning disabilities school; 3) Starting my first BAT project.  The last two goals I had last year.  I was intrigued by the idea about thinking whether my BAT thread might beat Vidioman & DuskTrooper actually posting pictures of themselves.  What a weird race for last place!3.gif

@Architect:  My wife and I have agreed to no pets.  Our apartment is too small and pets are stinky and expensive.  Even though they were an enjoyable part of my childhood that I would deprive my kiddoes of, I really knew in my heart of hearts that it was parents taking care of them.  Nope, not these parents.  The kiddoes get to see the National Zoo and Smithsonian and other neato things with their daddy on a regular basis.

@Leech:  I guess zukes flying around beats bats flying around people's hair.  I remember such a harrowing experience when I delivered newspapers on an early morning route when I was a yute.

Annnnyway, I've got resumes to write and a website to admin to.

Iced Latte, please John.

@ vidioman: A cup containing a homogenized cheeseburger and a plate of llama milk appear Would you like that peanut butter between slabs of ham with ice cream or dill pickle? Rain, you lucky guys in the far west. We are having a drouth.

@crazyarchitect: it keeps her up half the night why is this? Most puppies I ihave ever had slept all night in their crates. We have had five pure bred puppies, and have never had night problems. Why the high cost? If you took over a dog with vet problems, and it is a pure bred animal, you should be turning it over to the breed club rescue. Our two dogs only cost about $20 every couple of weeks for a bag of food. The exception is the annual vet visit, which we consider to be worth it. Rescuing animals is always an expensive proposition because of initial vet expenses, but that should be the limit. If it gets beyond that you need to seek another care taker or have the animal put down. Surprising a person with an animal is one of the sincerest forms of hate in my book. You are playing with a helpless, innocent life, and getting your fingers burned off at the elbows at the same time.

@Leech10: The Factory Defense System erects its noise suppressor system. We won't be hearing any more sonic booms. If necessary, we can also open the General Defense System and capture the zukes, teleporting them to the Arctic Circle to play with the Polar Bears.

Joesocwork: Large iced latte arrives. I think you have made a wise decision to get out of your present rat race. Good luck finding a new cage. Are you planning to continue with live social work or are you looking for something totally administrative in some place like the feds or state government? Maybe you could work as the MSW in the hiring group for a large corporation. In this position, you get to look at applications and investigate people a little. Sort of forensic hiring.

The zukes can't be contained in any known material, as they will either destroy it, or teleport someplace esle.

*The zukes fly almost straight up to enter suborbital space.*

It's something poisen alright. Now her grandfather wants the rest of the area cleared. Yeah, right. Maybe next summer. Maybe. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't keep reappearing. I had to wrap the worst parts so I wouldn't scratch it. And from now on I'm wearing gloves at the very least, I can't stand bumps on my palms and inbetween my fingers. In the words of Charlie Brown: ARGH!

And John, how would you feel about expanding? Maybe something in a more southern feel. Maybe, French Quarter?

Most of my friends have shunned me, due to a terrible misunderstanding that I will not relive if I can help it.

Ill have the most artery clogging sandwich in the joint, and some strong coffee straight up bitte.

@Leech10: Sub-orbital? Can they breathe out there? Not much oxygen. The KK dragon takes off after them with a big ball of atmosphere enclosed in a force bubble.

@ brtim2: Well, try strong soap and calmine lotion. If it is really blistered, I'd go to a clinic or the nearest ER. I like your model, but it won't do for a bar. Why not complete it yourself?

@Splintercell: Most of my friends : The ones that are left are your real friends. The autochef reluctantly produces a fried pork rind sandwich with solid bacon fat spread thickly on the bread. A large black coffee accompanies this. Doesn't matter, dietary cholesterol doesn't do it. Everything depends on the LDL produced by your liver. This sandwich might give you a gall bladder attack, though. Enjoy! A real friend will stand with you until he collapses.

The zukes don't need air to live, they can live like normal animals, plants, or they can keep everything inside of them and reuse stuff using energy from the sun and other places to live.

I left work sick yesterday and  called in sick work today.  Something viral my doctor told me.  It felt good to get the rest though.  In the past I would have felt guilty for even taking sick days off.  But sick is sick and sometimes the body screams ENOUGH in it's own way.

I'm in the mood for a whiting sandwich with a Pepsi.

@ Leech10: The KK dragon and I worry about the zukes. They are so cute they must be fragile.

@Joesocwork: Joe, I suspect that your virus is that old one called burn-out complicated by sick-of-stupid job. Good luck on your job hunt. The autochef materializes a fresh whiting sandwich on multi-grain, low fat bread accomanied by a 710ml. bottle of Pepsi and a large mug of ice. Enjoy! Take it easy now, and don't rush back to the old grind. It really sounds like you have gotten caught in the millstones. Relax and enjoy your kiddoes.

Brtim, I like the Moose Factory model, but I doubt the bar takes up all that space.  Now a Moose Factory Hotel and Suites?  That I see. 9.gif

As for me, I enjoyed my 2 days off from work.  Yes, my weekend consisted of Hump Day and Thirsty Thursday, but I'll take what I can get.  I'm also contemplating on whether I should go with my family to Maine for a week sometime next month or stay home and work as usual, easing my financial situation.  I'm leaning towards Maine, but I'm still unsure.  I could use a vacation. 10.gif

I've also caught Texas hold 'em fever again.  So far I'm in the black, but I shouldn't get in the habit of playing every week with my friends.  Then again, I am pretty good. 3.gif

And I'll have a bacon cheeseburger with cheese fries, please... and a bottle of your finest micro-brewed ale!

The Moose takes the MP3 player, erases it, and encodes several hours of Brahms, Beethoven, Bach, and Bruch. Then he adds the choral works of Hildegard von Bingen, and an opera by Claudio Monteverdi (L'Incoronazione di Popeia).

TT: Frankly, all that juvenile stuff is for the birds (vultures that is). As for Der Bingle, I am surprised you even knew he ever existed, but I don't play him anymore because he is an old bore. The two halves of the Black Sabbath CD fall though the air, but evaporate as the auto service system salvages the elements as raw materials.

Leech10: Pet that zuke. He has discriminating taste. Maybe you could get TT to go play with them. I am sure the KK dragon would like to have him in his pool. Wants cookie!

I was going to grab another 10 2L of Pepsi, bu the whole ID mess prevented me from doing that. But I know next time, to bring ID and get alot of pop...

@vidioman: If your uncle loves Hitler, he should take a look at why nearly everyone hates him, even now, 60 years after his death.

Concentration camps are not a good idea. Killing homosexuals, Gypsies, Slavs, Jews, and other non-approved people including cripples and mental defectives was a bad idea. If your uncle ever really read Mein Kampf, he would not be quite so confused, especially if he also read Marcus Aurelius (Roman Emperor) on ethics.

People who love Hitler should be deported to Israel.

@The Terminator: TT, what's Progressive Rock? The only rock I know came out of the 8 to a bar progression of be-bop, and jive. Music that tortures musical instruments to death and/or has a heavy back beat that covers up the vocalist has a hard time winning my approval. Why don't you look at some of the better artists around. The ones you love are garbage to me. Helas, chacun a son gout as they say in France. You listen inside your cone of silence and don't bother anyone, and we'll try to keep the zukes from eating you.

I would love to, really, but I don't think that's gonna happen.  I have relatives in Maine, between Bangor and Augusta, not really that close to the border.  I've enjoyed my two trips to Canada, but I don't think that's in the plans this time.  Plus, I don't pass through Albany on my trip. 31.gif

Is it just me or can we never agree on a single song on the jukebox?  TT loves his metal, John's got his classical music, I prefer indie or alternative rock, and the zuke???  I'm not sure, but he hates Black Sabbath.  Can we agree on one song for once? 3.gif

A mound of raw, cut up meat appears in the zuke playground

Ok, Leech10, what would you like for yourself?
